He's Retconnor now. They changed him to a much more likable character. Giving him a good closure as they wrap up all the loose ends, or as many as they could as they had a lot to cram into the final episodes.
I never hated him. Dude was raised in one of the worst hell-like dimensions by a psychopath, people acted like he should have been completely normal after 6 months of coming back from there. That being said those seasons were my least favorite out of them all
I love how this episode ties up a lot of the season 4 loose ends. The prophecy where “Connor would kill Sajahn” came to pass, Wes gets his memories back, and we get some closure on Connor himself. I found Connor pretty annoying in season 4 but this version is actually really good. Great episode
You have to remember Angel was moving to give Conner back his memories so he could win. He thought he needed to break the container near Conner. It was actual Wes that Angel was protecting. Wes' betrayal. Lilah's death. The Loss of Paradse.
Connor: You gotta do what you can to protect your family. I learned that from my father. And my mother too. Angel and Cordelia shocked at Connor. Spike is Connor's favorite surrogate uncle. The One Who Sired By The Vampire With A Soul And Grows Manhood To Kill Sahjahn.
I like this episode because it shows what Connor could have been like if Holz didn't raise him, but even still, we don't know how he'd turn out if Angel raised him. This episode is a result of Angel giving Connor up to The Rilley's to raise.
As we told you Kassidy S5 of Angel was just off the charts with an intensity of episode on another level. This opens with a great scene with Angel and Wesley discussing Illyria, and the the crazed intense looks from Amy Acker are really frightening. We then switch to some parents saying their son was hit by a vehicle and just got straight up. Then we see Angel see Connor in Wolfram & Hart. Angel is completely spooked by this, and doesn't want to take the case. We then switch to the gruesome heart cutting from Gunn in the Hell Home, very graphic and disturbing. Illyria constantly punching Spike adds light relief. Great scene when Hamilton confronts Angel and says 'I'm not a little girl, and we wont be making love on that couch any time soon' we just know Hamilton will be a problem for Angel. Funny scene when Illyria says about Connor 'this one is lusting after me', he says its probably the outfit, I just have a thing for older women, a throwback to his relationship with Cordelia of course. Angel goes to see the abominable Cyvus Vail, who we now know is responsible for Conor's built memories and alternate reality, and only he can kill Sahjan. We see Hamilton enter the Hell dungeon to see Gunn and try and make a deal with him, but then we hear the torture cries again. When Sahjan appears light relief when he offers Connor three wishes. Great scene when Wesley and Illyria confront Angel, and Wes confronts him and says you sold us out, to Wolfram & Hart, here is your 30 pieces of silver. Great scene too when Angel says you will have to trust me, and Wesley says I can't anymore and smashes to box. When it is smashed it seems to give Connor strength, but when the fight is over and Sahjan dead, it seems Connor still does not have the memories. When Connor and Angel talk towards the end Connor says I need to look after my parents, you've got to protect your family, I l learned that from my Father. Another stunning episode exploring the past, and giving us a look to an intriguing future.
Would you consider after the show is over let us discuss what should have been done differently😊 to actually end the series I wish we could get a sixth season with the remaining cast doing an audio version of The show. Big Hugs to you and your significant other ❤❤ With respect always 😊
This is the Connor we could have had if the writers could have pulled their heads out, but they seemed intent on destroying two characters instead. There were moments of this Connor here and there, but Holt always ruined those moments with his lies and deceptions.
Something that hadn’t occurred to me before is whether or not Angel has two sets of memories. It would have happened since the time of the spell so he’d know what everyone else knew about last season. He’d have to be able to sell the story himself otherwise differences between Angel and the other’s recollections might stir up some issues. He has slipped before like mentioning the prophesy to Wes even though he doesn’t remember it. There was no son for the father to kill as far as he was concerned. So some major details were changed. Thankfully until now, no one other than Angel remembered the Connor Cordy tryst, for instance. Fred/Illyria and Wes’s memories have been restored however. So I’m wondering if Angel knows what the others remembered without Connor.
@@Lady-Seashell-Bikini I know that. What I don’t know is whether he knows the version of events that everyone else remembers. Like when all the factions were coming after Darla or Connor after he was born, what do the others think was going on during all of that? If they started reminiscing about that period would Angel know what they were talking about? Was some other crisis inserted to explain it? Would Angel know what that was? Or does he ONLY know what actually happened and has no idea how those events were changed for everyone else.
Once again we have Wes taking matters into his own hands, doing as he pleases. And then he says he can't trust Angel. It's Angel who can't trust Wesley. At least it worked out better this time.
Season 4 Connor was sort of like Buffy s3 Wesley: frustrating because you could tell they were a good actor, but they just had to hit the same one note over and over...
That end really touches me!
It's nice to meet "not annoying" Connor.
I love how the showrunners brought Connor back at the end of the series LIKE WE DIDN'T ALL HATE HIM! 😉

We finally got the Conner we all deserved.
I never hated Connor. I kind of hated the writers, though, for how they wrote him.
@@luckyrobinshomestead I dislike the writers wronged characters all the time.
Yeah this is one of my favorite episodes too

Espicially Wes' betrayal. Angel had forgiven him truly, but Wes was scarred by that choice. Sometimes the truth is scary.

He's the only one with a fully intact memory because he's the only one who fully remembered Connor.

Wesley just can’t admit when he’s the one in the wrong, it’s really frustrating but I understand people aren’t perfect
Season 5 just keeps on firing on all cylinders. Easily the best season of Angel, and arguably the Buffyverse IMO.

Yeah, I disliked the character, but I admired the acting.
