When it comes to creating videos and I think anything, it's all about practising and trying what works well together. There's no such thing as a true guideline for creating, especially for creating something original. So try things out and see what works and how it feels. Than you'll be able to create more cohesive stuff :)
Hi Adrian, on which platform did you create your website? PS: Your videos always inspire me. I took inspiration from your first showreel to create mine. You're a great editor!
Hey, I've found footage from paid sites but the prices are a little expensive for me. Do you think its acceptable to use videos with watermarks & present that as a reel or would you advise against it as it would give a bad impression ? I don't know the do's & don'ts as I'm new to this.
Good question. Personally I wouldn’t use watermarked clips. It doesn’t look professional and it takes you away from focusing on the reel itself and your editing. Viewer will instantly focus on the watermark not on the reel. Sometime the skill of selecting the right clip is as important as editing
@@AdrianHylka Yeah your right, I'll avoid doing that. 1 more question if you mind. Would you advise against using footage that isn't Hd quality or would the potential client be more foused on the actual editing?
I would say if you can’t really notice that the clip isn’t FULL HD but it gives the video better pace and flow that I would use it. But I would go lower than 720p
Man, you are a legend! I was going through your work to get inspiration for a reel literally the day before you uploaded this video!
Thanks man. Means a lot 🥹
I just discovered you. The music really did it for me. I got chills from random videos that were put together. Amazing!
Glad you enjoy it!
bro you made me fall in love with editing again
I love your videos. I'm so glad I found your channel
here from HelloCharlie's video! :)
Finally ! Thank you
Very nice. I understand what you mean by cohesive. But at the same time I don’t. It looks great when you do it but for some reason I’m all thumbs.
