Great comparison video. One thing might be worth mentioning is that while a brand new case peanut probably runs $60 they’re all over eBay for $30-$40 I’m not a tiny knife fan but I know this because I like to go on eBay and put in a low price limit just to see what comes up and it always a ton of nice near mint peanuts
@@BakeryWizard13 haha me either, I have a couple that I just came across super cheap, but I never go looking for them I just see a lot of them when I set a low max price of like $40 on eBay. I do have a nice one in stag though I found at an antique store for $30
Thanks for sharing and comparing these two knives, I don't know much about Bear and Son, so I'll have to keep an eye out for if one should ever come my way. Take care and Cheers!
Bear and son are doing a lot better I've seen some of the U.S.Queens and they look great IMO.You mention Case not listening to us well theres a video on SMKW of TC and Murry from Case they said they tend to pay more attention to the analytics of sales rather than our opinions. Which sadly I believe is true. Thank you for sharing Brother
Check the prices of Case Hunter Trappers and Hoboes and try to imagine what they would charge for a Scout Knife I buy both brands and find about one Case in eight has a bad gap or some other small defect While I agree that those shouldn’t be leaving the factory unless they are discounted as seconds I find that Bear and Son has sent me a much higher percentage of knives with problems The problems I encounter with them is usually a weak spring or a pivot full of grinding dust I have also found as many problems with RR Knives as with Bear Anyway thanks for your take and for putting up with mine
I agree with what you said for the most part. I've gotten a few really bad cases knives. But as a percentage my bad bear and son knives has got to be higher.
Great comparison 👏 😊
Im looking forward to the bear and son 4in barlow they are releasing. It looks pretty good over there older barlow.
Yes, I'm super excited for them

I don't look for them that often. I want one in carbon steel sometime, but those are harder to find.

I just bought a rough ryder for $13 after tax and shipping
Case makes a better knife. Bear and Son is still making decent a
American knife though
