Yeeeessssss. Great, great comparison. I did a job yesterday where I used both of these exact tools. I agree with your opinion 100%. The excelerator is, besides the fliq pad catch, more efficient IF it holds up. I've gotten used to using my hand a bit to fliq the pad. It works fine above the channel, but catches way too much below as you and I commented on Marcus' video earlier this week. I still love the slimline, and it's my go to tool all around when I have a job with pole work. I'm not so sure the excelerator would be so great on the pole, at least for me. The slimline is already perfect for me with regards to pole work. Thanks again. Excellent video comparison. Wish I had your weather! Northern Indiana Winters are rough! Peace!
Traditional wagtail all day everyday, all these pads on squeegees are a sales pitch, tried then both, hated the moerman, wore out the rubber ends in no time, best way which is quicker and leaves no splashes from those annoying pads, mop with your left and squeegee with your right or vice versa, or carry 2 poles, wagtail also sell a small extension handle which goes onto the wagtail, it is fantastic you get the extra reach without lugging another pole. David from Australia
I found the fliq pad used to piss me off for the same reason you show. It wouldnt flick (@4:30) and get stuck. But after some use and washes in the washing machine it loosened up now I dont have that issue
Great Video! We just moved to the Moerman Excelerator. Its definetly a learning curve! I am going to pick up a FLiQ mop attachment also. We do a lot of polework, so we need to be time efficient.
I have the moermon excelerator fliq, I absolutely love it. Saves time detailing. It's strong also iv dropped mine several times when been up a ladder and it's still in one peace . I almost went for the wagtail and the wagtail high flyer but I was put off by the fact that so people seem to be modifying the wagtails to get a no detailing result so I went for moermon excelerator fliq no need to modify.
Out of the box, I think the Moerman wins, hands down - it is just packed with features that the Wag does not have. With a bit of DIY (dog-earing the channel and pad mod), I can get the same on-glass result with the Wagtail. There are times I would like a lighter duty pad for my Excelerator like the wagtail...especially when it is advantageous to have the pad mounted on the under side of the tool. So much easier to close out with the Wag due to the lighter, less bulky pad. I actually really like both tools, but forced to choose, I'd take the Moerman.
The only place you can get it right now is at www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/ If you live in the US like I do then you have to email them your address and what you want and they will calculate the shipping and everything then they will send you a request to pay via PayPal. Took mine a week to get here and about 15-20 for shipping. I just really wanted to try it. Its definitely a good rubber. I actually just got a piece of black Diamond rubber but haven't had the chance to try it out on any jobs yet.
I personally prefer the Moerman Excelerator. I don't think you can go wrong with that tool. And you can use it without the F*liq pad as just a normally squeegee and I like that.
can you do a review on the moerman combinator vs the unger vis versa. I would want to know because you give good explanation about products and i also dont know which one to buy.
Yes that will be one of my future videos. I am going to do the combinator as a one pass tool vs. the wagtail precision glide. But I can also do a combinator vs. unger vis versa down the road. Thanks for watching!
GLABAL1 I'd recommend moerman combinator, although you'll want to modify the mop to help with the corners. the reason being, you'll have a liquidator squeegee if all else fails
yeah I still use the rzer red rubber. I switch to a hard rubber when it starts getting Hot here in Arizona. But I would definitely recommend getting some.
Jordan......I LOVE to watch your videos!! This is a great comparison. What tool would be best for a gal to buy to clean her house windows (inside and out) HERSELF?? Please don't tell me a sponge, a £2 squeegee and some newspaper!! I'm a "gadget gal"....and these tools, although they are for professionals, look great, and I'd love to have one. Overkill? Waste of my money? Your valuable advice would be greatly appreciated. Teddy UK xx
hi, I know this is from a year ago, but I don't see an answer for you. I'm a professional window cleaner, doing residential, commercial, and height work (articulated genie lift, swing stage from high rises). I haven't used these newer style tools, though I am planning on buying some to test out soon. our company still does things with older style tools. these two squeegees would probably be overkill if you're just wanting to do your own house. these are designed to expedite parts of the practice in order to make professionals move much more quickly through their day, but they also require developing handling techniques that would be hard to master if you're not using them everyday. the basic thing, if you still want squeegee clean windows without having to blow out on specialty professional gear would be a basic squeegee, either a traditional fixed handle, or a swivel handle. my company uses Ettore fixed and swivel, with brass channels and Ettore rubbers. the swivel is nice for pole work, it helps get things from awkward angles, but if you can easily access your windows directly, a fixed handle is totally fine for this. I keep 3 squeegees in my pail, a 16 inch, 12 inch, and 5 inch. I rarely use the 5, but it comes in handy for really small or narrow windows (a lot of storefront entryways have these). I use the 16 for most of my commercial work because the large blade moves more water, reducing the amount of pulling I need to do. I typically use my swivels handles for pole work, but I have a real a fondness for my old fashioned all-brass Ettore fixed handle. it's very light weight, super sturdy, and if I'm honest, it just looks really cool. the Ettore metal handles are available in stainless and brass, look nice hanging up, and are less costly than these fancier pro tools that might frustrate you if you're not cleaning windows 40 hours a week to get the hang of. aside from a squeegee, instead of buying an applicator, larger absorbent towels are great. I use my applicator as much as possible, but my partner prefers a simoniz towel. gets it wet, folds it in half, and lays it over his squeegee to wet, then takes it off and uses the squeegee. a terrycloth dish towel works fine for this. you'll also want something to detail with, would would be a dry towel, or a chamois. I apologize if it's too much information, just thought I'd offer it up. in short, the only specialty thing I would recommend you get is probably a 12 inch fixed handle squeegee, you can use a lot of things that you already have around the house to manage everything else.
@@Lambrequin Awww. Thank you SO much for your fantastic, really helpful reply. I’ve got a much better solution for me….come and do my windows….please??? Lol. Your reply was so useful and I’m going to follow your recommendations. Teddy U,K. xx
Careful any sharp debris doesn't get caught in there. I juuuust scratched a window for not cleaning the pad 100% during a job. Small, very small, piece of metal stuck in the pad. Scratched glass really nicely. Luckily it's an "out of sight" commercial window. Scares me a bit. Makes me rinse more often now. It's really easy to just keep rollin' with the excelerator and a bottle and forget to rinse that pad enough.
I'm not sure why they don't make a 12 inch. You can always cut a 14" and turn it into a 12". I cut a 10 inch Moerman Liquidator to make my 6 inch detailing squeegee.

What rubber is the best for wagtail, the wagtail rubber or?

Wagtail makes a great tool. I definitely agree with you.

Hi, where can I buy it in Melbourne ?
You can cutt your own rubbers for this channel
I've owned both tools and the Wagtail wins for me.

Ettore squeegees and Unger mops are my go-to tools for best results.
you can modify that wagtail to flip over the top
Can you use either of these with a bucket system or is it for spray bottles only. If you use a bucket, what does that look like?
nice comparison mate
Great comparison and review! Thanks for posting.
Its been almost a year, any issues over time with either product?

Jordan, which of these tools and actual kit, would you say is best for beginners? looking to get started in a month or two.
I personally prefer the Moerman Excelerator. I don't think you can go wrong with that tool. And you can use it without the F*liq pad as just a normally squeegee and I like that.
Also you can make the Excelerator a fixed tool, And that makes it easier to learn for beginners
OK thanks....I'll purchase it as well as the Keith Kit from Detroit Sponge....I have to make sure I start off on the right track.
The Excelerator is suitable for beginners all the way to elite advanced window cleaners due to all the options it gives you
I definitely agree Bob. Thanks for the input. The Exceleratotor is a great tool!
great video Jordan keep up the good work
Thanks buddy
I will check it out

Hey man, do you still use rzer red rubber? If so, should I get some? Thanks :D
Also, I have been loving your videos lately. Not sure why, I love your style I guess.
yeah I still use the rzer red rubber. I switch to a hard rubber when it starts getting Hot here in Arizona. But I would definitely recommend getting some.
Ahh, that makes sense. I am assuming its a softer rubber than?
Yeah it is a little softer then the Unger Hard rubber that I use in the summer!!

ive never understood the wagtail.. does it lock? i mean is it basically the same tool? er totally not?
ohhh nvm. got it. thats kinda.. lame. hahaha
The pad on the moerman is better after its been warn in.

Im a Moerman fan. Just wanted to compare them

Nice explanation. I don't have those New pads.
Moerman is plastic and cheap feeling - but they still got me for 50 plus
Why is there not a 12inch moerman? 14 too big 10 to small.
I'm not sure why they don't make a 12 inch. You can always cut a 14" and turn it into a 12". I cut a 10 inch Moerman Liquidator to make my 6 inch detailing squeegee.
wagtail is NOT only underneath.....I flip mine over the top all the time.
Nice! I was just comparing both of the tools stock right out of the box. But yeah I know what you mean..
MrYiminie hey I just subscribed to you channel would you please subscribe back thanks 😊👍🏼
use the Moerman channel in the wagtail suuuupper fast cleaning
Wagtail wins always.
Wasn’t the wagtail the first to do the swivel? So the other is a copycat!
okay now compare the Mormon to the wag tail with the fatter Channel. pad over the top hands down wagtail all the way
I will definitely check it out. Do you know the name of the one with a fatter channel and pad over the top so I can look it up. Thanks man
