    What version of Dart are you using, because I am using version 2.14.3 and I am getting a different template when creating a Dart Server. Also my VS Code version is 1.61.2 in case you want ed to know as well.

    Very nice video, thank you. Do you ever get this error when you try to restart the server?
    SocketException: Failed to create server socket (OS Error: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.
    Thank you for your response.

      Hi Matt, yes it seems that the server address is already used form one of the other services.

    7 minutes of simple chatter - if a person is looking for how to create a server on Dart, then why does it not have Dart itself installed on IDE ???
    & Installing Dart and designing the server is "heaven and earth".

    • @FlutterExplained
      @FlutterExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thanks for your feedback, but I do not really get your question. Please let me know how I can help you? The programming language is usually not installed via the IDE so if you talk about IntelliJ then they usually do not provide the SDK. Its the same for Java, C++ and all the other languages that need to be compiled.

    How can I incorporate this into a flutter application. i.e. have the server running swell as the server for the flutter front-end running at the same time

    • @FlutterExplained
      @FlutterExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, I will work on that on a future video. But in general the Server should be usually not the same device because you want to have multiple Flutter instances against one server running. If you have deployed your server to something like Heroku you could create an API and access it with Flutter.

    how to start with android studio Web Server

    • @FlutterExplained
      @FlutterExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, sadly this is not easy to do. The reason is that Android Studio only supports Flutter not pure Dart, for that you will need the licensed IntelliJ Idea. But if you work on Open Source or your private project you can install it as a community edition for
      free.www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/#section=mac

      @@FlutterExplained Can I use community editon for my work place (bank) ? Is there any issue with that without using the licensed ?

    • @FlutterExplained
      @FlutterExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrravy8873 @Mr Ravy Very good question, I would heavily recommend to not use IntelliJ products without a license for non open source or personal hobby work.
      The fees for using an unlicensed software can be very hard for your employee. But I am no expert on that field either.
      If you cannot get a license from your employee vscode is always the better option.

    How can I implement this web server in a mobile?

    • @FlutterExplained
      @FlutterExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you will not really implement it in Mobile, a web server is usually seperated from the device and is running on VM´s or on a PC and a Mobile will access it via an API. This would fit the route that you had. I am currently working on a video for dart_frog which contains a bit more cleaner understanding. Feel free to check the package in the meantime :)
