I'm really enjoying these interviews. My belief still stands: Ferry is one of the best dance music producers of all time. I hope I'd get the chance to attend one of the What The F shows. Also, happy wedding anniversary Ferry!
Much appreciated Twan! There is not too many places you can watch such a detailed interview with Ferry Corsten!! Well done again! Cheers from Australia :-)
Thank you very much! Ferry has so many great stories and with the amount of classics he did I'm sure I can do at least ..... I don't know how many more interviews haha ;-) And he's a great person to talk to, always enthusiastic! :)
Happy that they progress - as they say, nothing stays the same forever, and they'd get bored if they just repeated the same thing over and over again - and then we'd all complain that "hey man, all your songs sound the same!" - can't ever please everybody, right? ;-)
@@Fir1-t3d for you :-) Subjective really, I've managed to find plenty of emotive and creative songs now, just as I did back then. What's not emotional for some can bring emotions for others :-)
Really interesting to hear it was the Nord Rack 3 that provided the main lead sound. Back at college in summer 2005/6, a few friends and I teamed up to do a live rendition of Rock Your Body Rock for an outdoor show at a local amphitheatre. We had live drums, guitar, bass etc and I played 'that' main lead on a bright red roland keytar. We had this big goth guy do the main vox part with a Microkorg's vocoder. I remember using my own Nord Rack 3 for the lead sound it and getting very very close. I remember mappable morphing features of that synth were essential to getting it to sound right; being able to vary the HPF, modulation etc all together from an expression peddle. Incidentally, it was a Nord Rack 3 I bought from the dance music group, N-Trance. Kev N-Trance sold me it for 25% of its value because he knew I was a poor student and aspiring trance producer. Good times 🙂
I always find these interviews with Ferry as special, regarding Twan's and Ferry's history. More two friends chatting rather than an ordinary inter. I love it!
Hehe I hope numbers of subscribers and views go up though, since it’s very hard to make sure this hobby project isn’t going to cost me too much money. So fingers crossed! Ideas enough though!
It's going to be great to hear his version of Moby's tune again! Tell us more about him calling you about his music. In terms of he needed a copy of something you had? Can't wait for the show in NYC.
Haha he knows I have a massive archive with his music (digitally), so he asked me for several tracks / remixes so he could see if he would be able to use those in his What The F shows.
We love this channel. Of course it goes without saying that we are massive fans of "Ferry" and were honoured to be able to remix one of his tracks. We love anything where the viewers gets an insight into how tracks are produced, and its always very interesting to see where the inspiration come from. Keep up the excellent work Twan :)

The Ferry interviews are awesome, i hope you can ask him one day about his remixes of Ayumi Hamasaki, those are banging! I can't find an old set were he played any of them.
Hey Twan, I absolutely loved this interview you did with Ferry and thought it was dope! Thanks for doing it for us, and keep up the great work with all your future interviews.
I hope that updated version of his Moby remix gets released. I had the same feeling about the track when I made a mix recently of all of my favorite Ferry tracks, and that one sounded not as polished as all of the rest. It's a great remix though
I didn't know how much I needed to hear Ferry describing sounds "pissh","weeeauu", etc. hahahaha. I see him as the guy posting those sounds in a Forum asking if anyone knows that track.
I genuinely hope he does WTF V2.0, and not just because I missed the last 30mins but there are so many tracks could be reworked played in his OTC set. Personally I'd love to see "First Light' get a Ferry Fix, he could also Fix "Heart Connected," I would love to see him playing "Show me The World" etc the list could go on lol.
I was stoked when I heard the Moby remix coming in that What the F 3-hour special earlier this week, and I knew the track right away! (In My Heart was the other good one to bring back in a System F style set 😉) I always remember him explaining the bending 'scoop' note before the kick part many times before, and the lyrics explanation is great! 😅 Also, congrats on the 20 years Ferry and Lia!
Thank you very much! And I don’t do interviews about remixes, I only focus on originals. Artists rather talk about their own original productions instead of remixes they did for others. Plus the stories behind original tracks are usually much more interesting 😉

Great interview with one of the fathers of trance music .His music is positive and deep.Thank you Ferry !
