Y2k never happened. What happened in the middle of the year set the tone for the millennium - Napster and the presidential "election" that the useless electoral college meddled in. Napster "existed" in 1999, but who knew about it in 1999 besides .02% of the internet generation?

LOVE this so much, thanks for posting!! Some of the years are hard to watch because you know what's about to happen that year, like 1929, 1941, 2001...and the cringiest, 2020. So much history and joy...such an amazing peak into our past.. the last one of 2021 was a bit heart-breaking- quiet, silent, everyone in masks, tears, so many people who didn't make it through to the new year. I am hoping 2022 is the dawn of a year full of happiness, health, and family. Happy New Year!

They didn't drop didn't do ball drops in 1941 and 42 and 43 and 44 because of German submarines instead they used chimes instead.

The 40s, no balls. The German submarines where in the city and people have to be hideous-
If I’d say the most terrifying footage I’d say 1932 - 1933 because the music is distorted which makes it sound like a creepy siren

Guys, this may be rude, but when the crowd sang Auld Lang Syne in the 1934 clip, it sounded creepy, but I can't blame them. Their cameras were early in development.

You’re not wrong, I think it’s because in the olden days, the sound is old and bad quality which is making it haunted.
