I’ve watched all of your videos and obviously enjoy them a lot but even though this is “old” footage I enjoyed it just as much as the original multi part series, maybe more. There is definitely a place for both styles but this style puts the focus on the cinematography, solitude, and beauty of the place. For me it conveys the soul of the experience in a very immaculate way.
Love the silent versions! The filming is excellent! Love hearing you both explain everything going on, but the silent versions are fantastic and I think unique.
I rode El Camino del Diablo just a few months ago. Your "silent" version is fantastic and captures the silence and solitude of the road and area. It's the remoteness and the utter vastness of the area that attracts me.
13:17 you set up that amazing landscape. Great staring effect lol. You’re a master storyteller, the preeminent cinematographer in these here ADVlogging parts! 🎬👏🏼
The reason I watch videos is to get information that I will use on my own trips, so I much preferred the version in which you talk. But, given that, I will say that this is very well done, with high production quality. It just doesn't meet my specific needs. I greatly enjoyed the talking version, both part 1 and part 2, and will use the things you said to help plan my next trip back to the Sonoran Desert.
Just did this route enroute to ChoyaBay MX on 500cc dirt bikes. Your video and editing was very good and now i feel the need to ride this again. Thanks.
I loved the silent video, but you are an exception to the rule. Your calming voice, informative insight, and natural gift for story telling is very much appreciated by your viewers. You continue to inspire us all...keep doing what you love, my friend.
As a very skilled videographer you are aware of the power of images. I watched your earlier videos documenting this trip and loved them. But the no talking version gave me an appreciation of the beauty and character of the place that I missed in the narrated ones. Absolutely beautiful.
Hello Sterling, you must have spent so many hours to do this final cut "no talking film"! What kept me watching from the beginning is the fact that you were able to blend the engine sound of the bike with the "music tracks" Not an easy task. Most of us bikers I would say want to hear and engine roar! Then you absolutely mastered the daily sounds/noises that we are surrounded with, from the water boiling, tot the breaking of the twigs, to your foot steps, to the sound of the sand covering the fire pit, even the slurping of the noodles....I could go on and on..... Which one is a better version? I and many, miss your calming voice but you absolutely nailed this "silent version"! I still love to watch old silent movies so I turned off the sound on this version on the second pass and I could hear everything.....This is movie making in my book! You decide what you want to do but whatever it is, I will be very pleased. Cheers
You have some really great landscapes in America. I like this new format even if I also like when you talk on your videos. This one makes us « feel » the atmosphere. Thanks for sharing and filling our dreams of escaping our COVID reality. A french friend.
Hi Staling, I really enjoyed this no talking video . I thought the pictures and the sound you used were a great match. I loved the captured images. Perfect video editing . Congratulations !!!
I really enjoyed both versions. The silent version helped me focus on and appreciate the artistic skill and talent it takes to make great visual imagery. Everyone has a Go Pro these days, but there are very few people with the talent to create what you do.
Although we love your calming voice Sterling, we also loved this silent version. Very soothing, especially before going back to work on Monday! Best wishes from the UK.
Sterling, I’ve watched all the videos you’ve put out and both versions of this one and I must say they’re very inspiring no matter what format you’re using. I’d say keep mixing it up and producing these great riding solo videos. See you in the fall if the borders open up in time!
Did you see the wierd lights in the sky? Im not sure about that location, but closer to the Tohono Indian reservation, you can see them almost every night.
Agreed, my wife and I were there disperse camping in the Cabeza Prieta Refuge this January (2021) and had a crazy light show followed by a deep ohmmm from miles away. Stunning!
This is awesome, this is exactly how I've been imagining how I would want to capture my outings. It looks like a lot of work. I've done some rides where I felt like I spent way to much time trying to capture the memory rather than just being in the moment. Does this happen to you?
Its very good but from the Uk I personally like you talking and explaining where you are, what your doing there, your videos are great either way, I just prefer the more Vlog Based
They are pretty worn in and maybe not as waterproof as when they were new but I do treat them a couple times of year with some kind of protectant. They are the BMW "Gravel" boots. I like them a lot as they are not too big, heavy, clunky, etc, but they still have good protection for me and a solid footbed.
I really like to hear you talk on your videos but I must admit this was pretty awesome! The editing must have taken forever. I would've just thrown in a bit more electric guitar with tremolo, like the one at the beginning :)

One of the best videos ever! You said a million things and didn't speak a word! Live the dream brother!

Well said mi hermano
True. 💯

I like both, Sterling, and so appreciate your work.

Indeed! Me too!

This would be perfect for expo film festival. Loved the b-roll footage. Remarkable!
This is great. I've traveled alone in places like that as well, and this silent video really gives a sense of what it feels like. Bravo and thank you.
Sterling, I really like that video with the mixed sound of music and the motor of your bike and not the less the picture.
Each version has its merits, but una imagen vale mas que mil palabras...
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for your dedication to your craft.

I just want to say one word "Stunning".

Hello, friend! Hi. It's one of the best!!! Nice, nice,i nice. Congratulations. Good.
Well done! Narration or not it’s all capturing the beautiful scenery and essence of solo motorcycle adventure. 🍻
I do love your videos. They have helped me through lockdown. Thank you.
That's good to hear! Hang in there,
I watched your narrated videos, which are great, but I do love to "listen" to your images.
Honestly Sterling, this is one of your best videos to date. It's amazing how well the scenery communicates without the need for narration.
Thank you!
No talking required - video says it all. I did enjoy both versions though. That cave was a lucky find... the sand, not so much..
I loved the silent video, but you are an exception to the rule. Your calming voice, informative insight, and natural gift for story telling is very much appreciated by your viewers. You continue to inspire us all...keep doing what you love, my friend.
Beautiful video, captures the solitude of your trip and the beauty of the place. Thank you for taking the time to make it. Safe travels. :-)
This musical format was great! I like how it played with the real sound of life.
As a very skilled videographer you are aware of the power of images. I watched your earlier videos documenting this trip and loved them.
But the no talking version gave me an appreciation of the beauty and character of the place that I missed in the narrated ones. Absolutely beautiful.
I definitely prefer the videos with your narration. This one was great as well, but just my preference.

Les vidéos de Sterling sont hypnotisants, je ne sais pas pourquoi mais c'est le cas.
i loved both versions. Though there was a sense of peace in this silent no talking version. Thank you!
Love the helmet hair! I don't have to worry about that. My head is "low maintenance."
A great addition to the series on this ride 👍 also, thank for the info on the boots...I was wondering...hope to see you out there sometime.
Brilliant! Please keep it coming.
Wow
Parabéns um vídeo melhor que outro show de imagens 👏👏👏👏 abraços susseço sempre BRASIL 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Stunning video! The landscape and colors are just beautiful! It's 43 degrees, windy and raining here in the PNW. I'm moving.
That was excellent! Thank you!
Loved this edit Sterling. Great soundtrack! 🙌👏🤙👌👍🖖✌
Sterling
This was an epic cinematic adventure.
Unreal Sir! 👏🙌🤙👌👍🖖✌👋🌹🙂
Man! I love your vids! Im new to motocycles and adventuring like yours is my goal!
I really enjoyed both versions. The silent version helped me focus on and appreciate the artistic skill and talent it takes to make great visual imagery. Everyone has a Go Pro these days, but there are very few people with the talent to create what you do.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. It means a lot to me.

One word comes to mind...Epic. Beautifully shot and edited Sterling!
Thanks!
Love it! Make more please!
Very interesting ... love it 👍🏻
I love both versions! You always make great videos. Somehow I want to travel as you. Alone with my thoughts! Thanks again 🤘
Simply brilliant
F'ing amazing. Wow perfect
Great photography work.
Great, thanks, that’s my format
Superhigh quality as usual
Sterling, I’ve watched all the videos you’ve put out and both versions of this one and I must say they’re very inspiring no matter what format you’re using. I’d say keep mixing it up and producing these great riding solo videos. See you in the fall if the borders open up in time!

Noted! Thank you it helps to know.
beautiful, excelente
Sterling i wonder , are those boots still waterproof gtx... can you tell more about it? Which model are those, price etc.. thx 👍

@@SterlingNoren thx
Great video
excellent video. Where is it? Very good camping gear. Greetings from Argentine.
Southern Arizona.
the best
Are you playing the guitar in the video music? Thats nice you deserve a cookie.
I wish!
I really like to hear you talk on your videos but I must admit this was pretty awesome! The editing must have taken forever. I would've just thrown in a bit more electric guitar with tremolo, like the one at the beginning :)
I love that guitar too! Thanks!
Suberb noren sir,
Did you get many of the thorns in your Tires???!!!
Wellllll - not silent (background racket (music). Neat vid, tho.
vote me for 'add the dialogue' to the video. I just miss a verbal interaction.
Hmm.. You speak with sense and your stories are interesting. The video without your narration loses a lot.
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes the narration helps tell the story of the area. The filming is top notch!
