I find it funny that there are so many fancy videos out there with 5 different brushing styles… they actually teach you nothing, just quickly show the move that your hands should do without explaining the details…. And then you have this amazing teacher who creates a video where it’s clear for everyone to see that he loves drumming and teaching. You’re a drummer and teacher that teaches… the way it should be… no fancy vlogging or editing… you repeat the exercises, patiently take the time to brush for two minutes, and talk while you do that…. I just felt as if I were really your student and you were my teacher. Don’t know where you’re located, but I hope that you have loads of students. You’re a great teacher and I assume you must be a great drummer and person to be around. Thank you so much!!!!!

I've been playing some acoustic gigs lately with a friend, using just a snare drum and brushes, and I was finally able to learn from your video how to improve using just this set. Thanks for sharing this. Greetings from Brazil!
Mateus thanks so much for the kind words and sharing about your playing! I'm so happy that my patterns helped you on your gig. Snare and brushes only is one of my 2 favorite setups. The other one is kick, snare, hi-hat and one ride cymbal on the left side. The brushes patterns I use are versatile and can be used in many styles. If you'd like to go deeper with your brush playing, I hope you'll also check out my Brushes Mastery Course: jazzdrumschool.com/course/brushes-mastery-course Keep swinging my friend and greetings from Japan 🤙
