Me neither. Grew up in a family where I had to live at home while going to college. Even when I got my license at 20 I couldn't drive to school. My mom had to drive me every day. 😒 Glad I am out of college from 12 years ago.
@@lunaromance2243 it s different. When you re staying at home you don t have a lot of the typical “University” experiences. Like doorm parties, sharing an apartment with people from all over the world, learning to live on your own. For me it was Erasmus, so I met many different people and it was amazing.
I started college a couple weeks back and I live in my own tiny tiny apartment about 10 minutes by bike from campus. That’s usually how people live at college in Norway
My college move-in/move-out experience: ---Very hot, both outside and inside ---Struggling to move heavy items ---Struggling to open heavy doors and get items through narrow hallways ---Having to go around the building and use the ramp entrance because the dolly won't go up the steps ---Standing in a packed elevator ---Dealing with silly fines from the greedy university This is MUCH better.
I remember getting a parking ticket for being parked in the loading bay. This was on residence move-in day, and we were parked there to unload the car! It seemed like a reasonable idea at the time, using the space for its designated purpose and all. Sigh.
@@williamharris8367 So awful! My dorm said they'd charge me $165 for a chair that wasn't even in my room to begin with, but thankfully, they didn't go through with it.
My mother refuses to pay for college for me because I came out to her as genderfluid and pansexual. I really know little about college life even though I am lucky enough to be going, so this video fulfills everything I wish I had. A checklist and a mother who cares enough to give you safety tips and such. It makes me feel so much better about going. Thank you so much!

This video is stirring-up some positive memories, thank-you for this. The first two or so days after I moved into residence (while my Folks were still in town) was spent buying stuff for my room. I remember buying the ugliest bath towels that I could find so nobody would want to steal them. 😀

I only stayed in the doorm while I was doing Erasmus, so I get it. It is a nice experience to have.
