Not even an Honorable Mention for the classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer??!?!?!!? It’s on my must watch list every Christmas time! Here Comes Santa Claus and The Little Drummer Boy are also wonderful classics!
Arthor Christmas is such an underrated movie. It's so charming with lots of humor and heart, as so many Aardman films have. It deserves to be a holiday tradition.
It's a film that teaches a good lesson on how old traditions can still stand the test of time amidst new methods being created with the advancements in technology. There are some things man can do effectively and efficiently that machines cannot, like sorting through letters or keeping track of presents.
Glad to see Arthur Christmas get some love. Really a film that deserves to become a Christmas classic. The scene where the girl finally gets her bike and sees Arthur with the snow around his face looking like a beard making him look like Santa is still an emotional moment, almost like she’s seeing the new Santa.
5:36 By the way having Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge Was a stroke of genius when you know that Ebenezer Scrooge was the namesake of Scrooge McDuck
If i don't watch The polar express, the holiday season doesn't feel like such, thank goodness it ended up on this top. Thanks, Kirsten, and a happy thursday morning to you as well. Take care and god bless you, and greetings from Colombia.
My favorite Christmas movie is "The Swan Princess Christmas", and I've been watching it during the holidays for ten years. 🎄 I never go a single Christmas without adding it to my watchlist. 😊
Wow! You haven’t seen it as a kid? Many people, including myself, were introduced to the Christmas Carol story through the Mickey version. It’s surprising to see someone who wasn’t introduced to the story through the Mickey version.
Prep & Landing is now a trilogy of three 22 minute shorts. My kids love them. The old Rankin/Bass ''Twas the Night before Christmas" animated short about the mouse who has to fix a musical clock to get Santa to visit his town is my personal childhood favorite.
I love Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty The Snowman, Mickey's Christmas Carol, Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Polar Express
Who doesn’t? It’s hard to hard Mickey’s take on A Christmas Carol… Scrooge McDuck: “And any jacka** who thinks otherwise should be boiled in his own pudding!”
The top Animated Movies That Are Perfect for the Holidays that I recognize and enjoy watching are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Rise of the Guardians, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Polar Express
I’ve seen all of them except Prep & Landing! No favorite of the bunch here. One movie I would add to the list is Smallfoot. Sure it’s not a Christmas movie. But the wintry setting, heartwarming story, complex themes and peppy music are close enough to it. Especially it’s about friendship and family Rise of the Guardians I first watched on Easter weekend!
Justice for GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER!!!!!!!!!! jk ig it doesn’t count cause it’s more of a cartoon network special? but I loooooooved watching that growing up
Here are some honorable mentions: Rodney the Reindeer in Hooves of Fire The Snowman (1982) A Wish for Wings that Work (A Bloom County Christmas) Robin Robin Shaun the Sheep A Flight Before Christmas Alien X Mas
The Nightmare Before Christmas and Prep & Landing Franchise and Rise Of The Guardians and A Charlie Brown Christmas and Mickey's Christmas Carol and Arthur Christmas and Klaus and How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Polar Express watch around the holidays on the DVDs or on TV or on Disney Plus
OH! (I fell out of my chair) I freaking love The Polar Express. Never thought I’d see the day that The Polar Express would be number 1 on WatchMojo list! You just made my day
Glad I own How the Grinch Stole Christmas from 1966 on DVD last year, in order to avoid that Horror Movie titled "the Mean One" now that Dr. Suess and his Wife are rolling in there graves!
I know what you mean. Which is why I don’t consider a movie that aged perfectly with the times. But I still respect the motion capture as somewhat an innovation for its time

Other than Spider-Verse 1 & 2 I think it’s the best sony animation movie
Glad to see Arthur Christmas get some love. Really a film that deserves to become a Christmas classic. The scene where the girl finally gets her bike and sees Arthur with the snow around his face looking like a beard making him look like Santa is still an emotional moment, almost like she’s seeing the new Santa.
Fun fact in the original grinch, it’s narrated by horror . Legend, Boris Karloff
Klaus should have come out in theaters instead of Netflix. It would have been a hit
I agree.
My guess is that if it had a theater release it won't have gotten the 2D animation.
Also Frozen and Frosty The Snowman and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer are some of my other favorites.
5:36 By the way having Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge Was a stroke of genius when you know that Ebenezer Scrooge was the namesake of Scrooge McDuck
Arthur Christmas is very under appreciated. I remember seeing it in theaters when it first came out and had a good time with it
One of the best films of 2011
I regret choosing Happy Feet Two over it
The Polar Express is the absolute best Christmas movie ever. The songs, cast, animation are all incredible. A great Christmas tradition every year.
