Citizen Journalism going to change the media landscape in the 21st century. Gone are the days of arm-chair journalists, get ready to face the ordinary people and their extraordinary tales, is the message convey well by Brian Conley through this talk. Excellent. Strongly recommended.
I think citizen journalism is the future of journalism in general.Training ordinary people with extraordinary stories to be able to tell them to the world not only saves time and resources but also gives opportunity to people who,as Brian said, never even thought of becoming journalists,to produce quality coverage of events as they happen.
I just watched natalya denise and she showcase Richard the citizen journalist. Richard today , Feb 2 2021 is in front of the White House reporting on troops arriving at the White House along with seeing unmarked buses and Van's. This action today is a tribute to this Ted talk from 8 years ago ,and has foretold the future exactly, which is,the truth does not come from Anderson Cooper, but from the people. And this truth is required but sadly missing. Freedom
Nicola: I thinkI can decide for myself; What I "need to know" Thanks. "gatekeepers" are a thing of the past. "Professional journalists" have failed us greatly and lost ALL credibility.
