Rlaarlo AK-787 vs the Rlaarlo AK-917 - which is better ??

- Following on from the 1/10 scale speed car the amazing RTR Rlaarlo AK-917 they are at it again with the Rlaarlo AK-787

We want to know which one is best and there is only one way to find out we head to the best RC car facility and track in London England UK to test these 2 cars head to head.
But before we do that lets got in the box.
AK-787 is a professional 1:10 RTR supercar with the aerodynamic structure of a classic model. When using 4S Lipo battery and upgraded motor, etc, it can bash at an amazing speed of 200km/h over on-road and light off-road surfaces.
Equipped with a 5-pass remote control with an operating distance of up to 350 meters, the AK-787 provides an excellent driving experience for extreme speed enthusiasts.

They are both nice looking chassis's and bodyshells, and obviously both based on real racing cars. It'll definitely be interesting to see how they compare on the track though ;)

Grown men playing with toy cars LOL great line being 49 myself I got to say sometimes when you're out Putt-Putt and where the cars you do get older crowds looking at you like you're crazy so the analogy doesn't hold a bit of Truth great stuff as always guys!

I find the 747 body makes the car unstable at high speed does run better with out it must be to much flexing but both are good looking and the metal wheels are to big
At least you were lucky enough to own a carrot phone back in the day, imagine the shame & embarrasment I had only having a Leek phone. Reception was terrible, & to top it off I couldn't even hide it in my pocket.
Leak and potato range are not great
Both are awesome 🎉 There still this little detail on the 787 with the body sitting a little too high, but really a detail 😊
I just got my 787 in the mail and after putting bumpers on the shock shaft to lower it and adjusting the body height it sits reallyyyy nice, that was the one thing that annoyed me with that car but it was an easy fix
Depending on the places you drive the higher suspension can be helpful.

Like the look of both of these. Leighton buzzard this coming Tuesday is an open night so anything can race. Bring them both for a carpet race. Going to dust off my tt02 for a change.

Lads thanks, I was curious what the differences between the 2 cars were.
Big fan of your content, I was wondering what your opinion was, looking at purchasing either a LD2 or B6.4 - I’ve heard the LD2 is fast but fragile. B6.4 is apparently tougher but suited to US tyres. What would you recommend for a novice racer, we have a great indoor track (Midlands Raceway)

B6.4 is a proven platform but you will be able to get cheaper 2nd hand LD2 as the LD 3 is due for release in the coming weeks
Ahhhh that may explain why a load of people are selling LD2’s currently. £200 for the built car with some upgrades and a lot of spares seems to hard to miss on. Plus a lot of people seem to run Schumacher I think at my club
How do these Rlaarlo cars do at the TRACK compared to other touring car chassis? Can they compete or are they only bashers and straight line cars? Thanks.

I get that it's about making fun silly videos but the bare minimum research would have shown you were comparing different classes of car. The 917 is the $300 carbon version, and the 787 is the $200 metal version, which explains most of the differences.

It's a shame rlaarlolo doesn't pay the tax in advanced otherwise I would probably own a few cars from them. I don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with customs and administration postage fees and all the other nonsens.
Didnt have any of that when I bought 2 separate AK917 rollers, 1 carbon & 1 alloy version. Also same with the new 1/2 Dessert buggy, I bought them when they first launch these cars in the sale. They were shipped to the UK.

Exactly what we thought too, maybe we’ll bring it back, the carrot had bad reception to be honest, but works better in the dark👍

Last year I saw someone with an older Passat Diesel. He had genuin Bugatti alloys on the car. He sure says this to people 😂. Because these rims are pricey. Maybe same price as his car at this moment or more.
