PTV Talks: Rapid deployment of ActivitySim using open network data in PTV Visum

In this session, PTV experts, Binny Paul and Adam Groves, will give a walk through the steps in the ABM development workflow:
-Network development: This step uses PTV’s cloud-based product called Model2Go, which automates model network development.
-Synthetic population generation: PopulationSim, the popular open-source Python package, generates synthetic population. Input data is downloaded automatically via the U.S. Census API and transformed to fit the model geographies.
-ActivitySim configuration and integration with Visum: In the last step, the most applicable example setup of ActivitySim is deployed. This entails the configuration of necessary settings to reflect local conditions and calibration of ActivitySim sub-models to local household travel survey (HTS) data.
