I have a 11.2 receiver Denon and it's amazing. Front left, center, front right, surround left side, surround right side, surround left back, surround right back, ceiling right front, ceiling left front, ceiling left back, ceiling right back. The ceiling speakers are for Dolby Atmos. I also have 2 12" powered Polk Audio subs. I know Polk Audio but it sounds amazing in my opinion. Avatar sounds awesome in Dolby Atmos and Atmos vision.
I have a 7.1 home theater system! My speaker system is the Klipsch Synergy speakers and I have a Yamaha 7.2 A/V receiver I purchased the system in 2013, but it is still going strong and sounding as good as the day of purchase....Knock on Wood! And I have a 55 inch TV. My room size is 21 feet in length and 12 feet in width. I use the Yamaha YPAO to optimize the speaker settings. My sub is the Klipsch SW-450 down firing sub, which I placed heavy duty foam under the legs of the sub and a folded bath towel directly under the sub because I have hardwood floors I love listening to music through the system and watching movies, especially if they are in 7.1 surround sound.
Your videos are always very simple to understand,it helped me understand crossover better. In this video, you talked about sub woofer volume and frequency setting, which you were to explain in a few seconds, but not sure if you did or was it me missing the vital information. If it is in this video can you please help me with time section in the video Else, can you please have a separate video on this topic, that will be of great help. Thanks again and keep doing the good work
I still don't understand is why lots of HT gurus say don't set your main speakers to large ,it will sound bad and bad and bad. Guest what I finish my test 1 month set to small , the other month set to large and sound on movies and music feel more dynamic and energy a way better , but there is a but. My main speakers are custom made with a 12 inches passive woofer and I have 3 channel external amp for feed my center and main speakers .My center speaker is a heavy duty 150w at 8ohms and sound amazing also setting on large .I think is all depend the kind of set up you have , if your AVR or speaker are capable to handle lot of power and bass try yourself it is ok for you and you feel comfortable that your AVR and speaker do the job that way
They say don't set your front speakers to large when using surround sound because some receivers will cancel out the LFE channel that you will need for a subwoofer. At least in the late 90's or early 2000's that's what they were saying. Some receivers don't cut off the LFE for a subwoofer on a Large setting.
Hi what’s your opinion on in wall speakers vs wall had no speakers? For a living room 18 x23 open floor with kitchen. Looking at rear speakers klipsch RP-502S11 front RP 500m in wall R5650-S11 R-5800 front in wall. From what I understand wall hung gives a better sound. Thanks
@mikecolon1802 in wall speakers don't sound that bad and give a nice look in the room. But on wall speakers will give a better sound and more placement options
Kpaceguy, my Denon AVR X-4700H receiver preamp output voltage is 1.2 volts, and I'm thinking of getting an Emotiva XPA 5 GEN3 five-channel power amp with an input sensitivity of 1.5 volts, will the receiver drive the amp to the full power of 250 watts all channel driven?.
Denon can hit 1.4v very clean pre out so you should get more than enough loudness out of Emotiva. It doesn’t mean it stops at 1.4v it’s just will be distorted.
12 is what you set it to before you run calibration. You can change it after if you want but I recommend leaving it at 12 and using the receiver to turn up the volume
Keep the speakers on Large, sounds better, more realistic to any upgraded movie theater, and the subwoofer’s just sound better. No LFE + Main…..Just full range!

Make a video on cable management. Solutions for avr in closet/cabinet with no direct line of sight. Don't see any good videos on that.

Pretty close but you'll more than likely never reach it

Why not a 3 channel amp?
I put my sub at 2 o clock ⏰ is that ok why at 12?
