Hey Jerry; I have an idea. Seeing the variety and volume of fish you caught, I think all you need do from now on is to let it be known that you are fishing for "green sunfish" , - - use a larger lure and keep the ones that fill the dinner plate - - - no matter the breed. Quite a haul and a good family fisherman to partner with for good times. Hard to tie - - can't be beat. Thank for the trip.
Probably the reason I love these little critters so much is that they are what I grew up fishing on Roubideaux Creek. Thanks as always for your support.
All the streams around Springfield have Green Sunfish in them. I was a professor at MSU for 24 years and spent lots of time chasing the little guys. Thanks for taking time to comment.
The correct name for what we call the "Black Perch" locally is the Green Sunfish. It is the fish I grew up catching in my childhood. Thanks for asking.
I love catching green sunfish
Thank you for another great video. Watching you fish never gets old and I look forward to fishing with you at some point.
Contact me some time and we can make that happen!! Thank for your support.
Great trip. Your last shot of the fried plate of fish 🐟 looks equally as good.
We will have to get you some of those.

Floating a small stream close to Springfield many years ago we stumbled into a good population of them big enough to keep. Good tasting Lil buggers.

William, never tried that but it sounds like a great idea, thanks.
Great video, as usual. Is there another name for a black perch? The ones I Googled were saltwater.
