Danielle's TH-cam videos helped me avoid a world of hurt with using my employee coverage which included an HSA for a while before retirement. Boomer Benefits later helped me to choose Medigap and Part D plans. When I had an issue with Medicare not paying due to the timing of signing up and then having to go to Emergency soon after, Boomer Benefits helped me again. They really know their stuff and can make overwhelming scenarios much easier to handle. I would recommend them to anyone.
I'm just delving into this and it's very helpful and informative. I just hope one day that we have a simple healthcare system that just covers everything no matter what. This complicated mess seems so unnecessary. Like a way for them to get out of covering everyone.
Medicare is very confusing I worked for 9 years now I enrolled for Medicare to get the red and white and blue card to get a little help from Medicare and they told me that I not qualified for help why is it that the illegal is qualified to get help I don't understand why
Good Video, Danielle. Thanks. I just started Medicare in April (got my Supplement plan and Part D plan through BB). Just an anecdote: I went to the pharmacy for my refills of two Tier 1 prescriptions a month after I started the new Part D plan. I was ready to give my Part D card to the pharmacy tech and without looking at my card, she said that it's already in their system for my account. She said that it all goes by name and birth date. When I got home I verified under my account on the Part D plan company's website that sure enough there were the two meds paid for. My whole point is that it's kind of scary how all of my info is already "out there" without even having to provide it to the pharmacy. I guess it's like auto and home insurance -- where any new company can see everything that you already have with your existing company???
One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to sign up for a Medigap plan with a insurance carrier that routinely closes the book. Companies like Mutual of Omaha routinely do this and their policyholder experience astronomical annual rate increases as a result. Boomer Benefits knows about this shady practice, but does little to warn their customers.
I got into a total train wreck with United Health, complete FUBAR situation over part B and my address. UH canceled my part B because my address changed to the address I had provided them, where I lived. (Yes, read that again) Apparently I moved to where I already lived, go figure 🤣 The folks over at Boomer Benefits (Catherine H and Jeff B) were able to step in and handle the whole SNAFU like pro's. These guys are rock stars when the wheels come off and that is when it counts most.

Hi there - have you worked for 10 years or 40 quarters?

Hi David - unfortunately, we do not know in advance when a book of business will be closing for a carrier. We also hate that they do this!

Too confusing. I prefer to stay far away from it all.
We understand it can be confusing! Watch our videos to learn more :)
It doesn't matter who you presented to if they don't file Medicare as primary he will come back on you
That is very true! If this happens, our Client Service Team is here to help.
