Asian Kung-Fu Generation - Re:Re I recently discovered this, and a few other Japanese songs and they have the same indie rock vibe. I'm not sure if it's also similar but many songs from Foals kinda remind me of this one, try with Sunday. I'd like to know your thoughts. Also, if I remember and come up with more music of this style I will keep replying :-) Ps. And of course I'm open to recommendations.
Listing these in order of how close they are to Toumei Answer You might enjoy Sense by the band Last Dinosaurs ^^ I have that and Toumei Answer at the top of my bittersweet playlist and they have similar vibes, tempo, and instrumentation. If you enjoy that song, you might also wanna listen to Karma by Last Dinosaurs too. Lost in a Room by Rome Fox Heroes is SLIGHTLY faster than Toumei Answer, but still has that sorta bittersweet emotive guitar aspect to it. Nee by Siinamota is similar in both instrumentation and vibes, but is perhaps slightly faster. Honestly, a lot of Siinamota's stuff has similar vibes. Off the top of my head, there's also Young Girl A and Strobe Light. 中庭の少女たち by SHISHAMO is perhaps slightly peppier, but the guitar track is similar 小粋なバイバイ by indigo la End has similar vibes and emotions, but is a bit faster paced and more piano heavy. 夜明けの街でサヨナラを by the same band is even faster, and a little bit peppier, but more guitar heavy. Flower Child by Colletta has a similar guitar backing track and tempo, but the singer's voice is higher pitched. Never More from the Persona 4 Soundtrack gives me similar vibes but I can't quite explain it Into the Night by Fontana Folle. Not sure how to explain this one either Pilvet liikkuu, minä en by Yona is slower, more melancholy, and also more violin/piano heavy, but gives me similar vibes emotionally, if perhaps a bit more sad? I really glad u recommended me that one because the instrumental is SO GOOD and I can see why u think its similar to Toumei Answer. It just gets the vibe. I've listened to all the songs you recommended except that indigo la end song because I cant seem to find them... (Im on mobile so i cant really copy the title so i tried looking by the first few kanji and i didnt find a match), but I did find another song by the same band that sounds pretty cool too. Can't believe it was 8 years already. At that time, I was just grade 7. I had no friends back then. I always wear my headphones when I went to school every day. I remembered that I want to end my life by jumping from high buildings. But then I found this song. It reminds me that if I die, someone will be sad for sure. So I decided to live on until there's no one around me and then I can't leave this world peacefully.

I recently discovered this, and a few other Japanese songs and they have the same indie rock vibe.
I'm not sure if it's also similar but many songs from Foals kinda remind me of this one, try with Sunday. I'd like to know your thoughts. Also, if I remember and come up with more music of this style I will keep replying :-)

You might enjoy Sense by the band Last Dinosaurs ^^ I have that and Toumei Answer at the top of my bittersweet playlist and they have similar vibes, tempo, and instrumentation. If you enjoy that song, you might also wanna listen to Karma by Last Dinosaurs too.
Lost in a Room by Rome Fox Heroes is SLIGHTLY faster than Toumei Answer, but still has that sorta bittersweet emotive guitar aspect to it.
Nee by Siinamota is similar in both instrumentation and vibes, but is perhaps slightly faster. Honestly, a lot of Siinamota's stuff has similar vibes. Off the top of my head, there's also Young Girl A and Strobe Light.
中庭の少女たち by SHISHAMO is perhaps slightly peppier, but the guitar track is similar
小粋なバイバイ by indigo la End has similar vibes and emotions, but is a bit faster paced and more piano heavy. 夜明けの街でサヨナラを by the same band is even faster, and a little bit peppier, but more guitar heavy.
Flower Child by Colletta has a similar guitar backing track and tempo, but the singer's voice is higher pitched.
Never More from the Persona 4 Soundtrack gives me similar vibes but I can't quite explain it
Into the Night by Fontana Folle. Not sure how to explain this one either
Pilvet liikkuu, minä en by Yona is slower, more melancholy, and also more violin/piano heavy, but gives me similar vibes emotionally, if perhaps a bit more sad? I'll also admit that I'm partially recommending this because I saw your taste in Genshin soundtrack songs ^^''

I actually listen to Last Dinosaurs but I tend to miss some of their songs and Sense is one of them. I really glad u recommended me that one because the instrumental is SO GOOD and I can see why u think its similar to Toumei Answer. It just gets the vibe.
I've listened to all the songs you recommended except that indigo la end song because I cant seem to find them... (Im on mobile so i cant really copy the title so i tried looking by the first few kanji and i didnt find a match), but I did find another song by the same band that sounds pretty cool too.
Out of ur lisy, Id say my favorites are the ones from Last Dinosaurs and Shishamo, as well as Strobe Light. They're just what I needed :D so thank you very much
