Usually humor is okay. Just a quick haha, but why would you call him a spoiled brat after seeing him having such severe reaction in the video? Even a better joke would've been, "Fire seems to be your go-to method," and everybody comically pauses at that. But calling him a spoiled brat for burning down the manor that was made to basically trigger him? Wtf???
They don’t know that or really anything about Ciels trauma. All they know is that Ciel burned down a random mansion bc why not. To them it looks like a spoiled 12 y/o with too much power to do anything he wants.
@ell4450 What??? ToT. They literally showed Ciel screaming over a knife and stuff. You're telling me they couldn't recognize a serious situation? And even then, Ciel didn't react in the way of somebody whose trauma was made light of. Idk, it's weird.
@@fruitylooperies8166 not really they have nothing to go off of. The screaming could’ve just been a temper tantrum, and not serious since Ciel didn’t show any reaction to it. I was a spoiled brat at 10 y/o and I used to scream when something minor happened or I didn’t get my way. They have zero context.
@ell4450 My argument is that it wasn't MADE to be that way. You can give many different reasons why they didn't react a particular way. My argument is that the creator didn't treat it with respect. There was no hint that they're in the wrong for calling Ciel a spoiled brat. It wasn't WRITTEN that way. There are many ways to show it. For example, Sebastian looking at Ciel for any reaction. Ciel being upset. The other people saying there's probably a reason Ciel fought with fire. Or asking what was it this time that he needed to use fire again. Or, you know, Ciel very visibly uncomfortable but pretending they're right (like you said). But the fact of the matter is that NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. It wasn't written into the script, meaning the creator didn't realize they were probably supposed to add that. MEANING, it wasn't treated with respect. I'm just mentioning that it rubbed me the wrong way. Not that they should stop creating things. The rest of the video is fine, which is specifically why that ending was that much more disappointing.
@@fruitylooperies8166 I agree with you, I had to pause the video because I was confused why they all seemed to have taken what they just saw so lightly. I get the usual teasing and jokes about Ciel being a "spoiled brat" but this was just displayed impertinently, trauma is not to be easily disregarded in favor of humoring the audience-or just at all in general. I would have understood if; like ell had stated: there was 0 context. However, just because there's no "context" does not mean they should just downplay it, especially if it's a serious one. Fruity has a point, they could've reacted differently-much more appropriately. Fruity listed several examples, adding up to that; as they have no understanding of the full situation they should have at least wondered and not make any immediate assumptions.(Since Violet criticized him right after the video ended, meaning he assumed it wasn't serious given his lack of tact when he commented. Followed with the rest snickering, encouraging his actions which also showed they didn't consider it to be that serious to mull over.) They could have maybe kept quiet, as an act respect or perhaps even inquiring if Ciel was alright. With the lack of information about the video, they should've been mindful at least. I also noticed Ciel and Sebastian looked rather proud about the scene, which isn't very realistic given what happened and why; if anything Ciel shouldn't even be there to witness that again, if this was real, replaying a very vulnerable moment of him will be very triggering, as is for any other person if they were to watch a very distressing and traumatic experience they had. For a second I thought maybe I was overreacting and this is just how humor is in the fandom now but no, it just isn't right. The creator should have regarded the situation with respect and made them react aptly, humor is good-lightens the atmosphere and all but we should know when not to use them. Sure, call this too much and all since they're not "real" and I'm aware the creator can do whatever they want with the script but a way a person reacts to things-like this matter-speaks a lot about their character. For this instance, the characters in the video reacting reflects the creator.
I wouldn't call ciel a spoiled brat just for that scene since he was having a ptsd attack, his reaction and decision to burn down that place was understandable
I don’t think ciel would smile at him burning the manor down, he was clearly upset and having flash backs from his past, he only burnt down the manor as a trauma response. He wasn’t thinking straight and was probably just scared or smth since he was triggered. I feel like you should’ve explained that instead of him being called a spoiled brat
