Love watching your process! Thank you for sharing. You do make the process seem more manageable through having premade different ephemera and having the little details at the ready. Making clusters ahead is a great idea too.
OMG - can I just say that the money wrapped on the page is FABULOUS! I am working on a journal right now where this will be a perfect embellishment and I am doing it!!!! Also - the stamps....Danielle thank you for sharing that! I am going to use this also. Thank you for sharing this series. It has been great!
Oh I’m so glad it was helpful! I have not forgotten about your happy mail! I just purchased a large amount of wallpaper and have been trying to meet up with the person for over two weeks! I was not giving up! Anyhow I share this because I thought it may be something I could share with you that you may not have a lot of. Hopefully it will be worth the wait! 😀
@@11dancingdandelions44 Danielle you’re so thoughtful! No rush for me though - please don’t put that burden of rushing to get me happy mail, seriously. Whatever you send will be wonderful and even if it doesn’t work out that you do send it will still be ok, I promise! I get so much inspiration from you that is enough. Let me tell you this though. I heard you mention a Boy Scout journal…do you need anything else for that? I thrifted some scout handbooks from the 60s and I am happy to mail you some pages if you’re interested.
My question for you is where you find all of the ephemera you use for your journals? In looking at eBay and Etsy, I don’t seem to come across all of the unique stamps, sales slips, tags, images, wrappers, etc. the other people use. Where do you find these without paying a fortune? The sellers are asking way too much for some of these items it seems. It’s getting a little crazy!
Ugh. Yes, it is getting more and more expensive. In the last 5 years vintage paper ephemera prices have skyrocketed…much like everything else vintage. I do use Etsy and EBay. Local antique malls sometimes have reasonable prices. I know estate sales are great too, I don’t currently utilize this option due to time constraints, but I know others have found a lot of treasures this way. Usually if you buy online the best way to get a better price is in bulk, which is hard if you aren’t making many journals. Sorry I can’t be of more help. 🥺
I would really say something rude if the comment was more exciting. I mean, really?! Did this person truly not realize what he or she was saying is rude?! Grrr. What you guys have to put up with. Just don’t internalize it, please. Anyway, on to a more edifying comment. I love watching you do ephemera and seeing you create it right on the page. I think I will be able to embellish my journals with a lot more confidence! So, thank you. I’m off to see number 6 now. It will be sad to see the series end…sniff.
I love this journal. The cover is fabulous. Love the vintage children 😊❤
Thanks so much!
