Hi astral gang! Hope all of you are safe yet again for another week of the lockdown. Anyway, SUPER amped for this week's mix!!! I know I always say this but this has got to be my best so far 2020. My personal favorite track has to go to the first song by *Rogue VHS* What's yours? Also I'm doing a darksynth mix next week, so suggest some cold and dark titles for the mix below! I read them all! stay safe and microwave
Yeah, the richest "scientist" ever, at the time of his death. His only real achievement.Otherwise, he babbled about conditions of life and how it can be found on other planets, none of which are taken seriously anymore. He had 0 achievements in science, just like DeGrasse Tyson, just like every other "scientist" that spends more time on TV than actually doing science. They do that because they suck at science so they must feed their huge ego.On this pale blue planet, he certainly made his coin and his fame.
@@RandoBurner Boy, you must be fun at parties. You're completely off basis. While some were critics of Sagan, it was due to his fame and the fact that typical people in academia didn't like how popular he was. Beyond that, he did in fact have many publications, though that is not nor should be the only mark of the value of an actual scientist. He popularized science and he should be thanked (and IS thanked by many besides you) for ushering in the next generations of scientists, especially those in the physical sciences and astronomy due to him inspiring them. He did that for me, for sure.
Just a heads-up: it's been over a year since I heard "Pale Blue" for the first time, right here, and it's _still_ my all-time favorite synthwave track.
Amen to the richest non scientist scientist whose only real accomplishment was getting rich, more than any other scientist and becoming famous for having done precisely nothing in the field of science. Its a kind of achievement i must admit, becoming a stand out figure in a field where you were nobody.
@@RandoBurner No one is saying Sagan is a brilliant scientist? Bit of a weird comment to make. I think he was a brilliant science communicator though. Cosmos
@@Bertus85 Name one scientist who thinks Carl Sagan was a scientist, let alone a brilliant one. Cosmos and Pale Blue Dot are TV programs and thats what he was, a media person, not a scientist.
@@RandoBurner Why should I? I didn't claim he was a scientist. And I don't think the definition of scientist is that other scientists think that person is a scientist. Wikipedia mentions him as a scientist though, maybe you can go there to further your weird cause of proving Sagan was not a scientist. 🤷♂
@@Bertus85 I'd be willing to bet you have not even a basic understanding of anything scientific. Idk if its so, but its amazing that people who are saying he was a "brilliant science communicator" have not even the faintest idea of even the simplest laws of the physical universe. Usually people who think they know science from documentaries would fail even basic math, so its impossible to know science without knowing math. Some communicator and some students. But ego doesnt really need knowledge, just a bunch of people stroking their own egoes.
That's what happens when you have 100k subscribers and want to release a mix every week regardless whether you actually have a content to put in it or not...
I don't have a dark title but when all this covid-19 stuff settles in and people can go back to their lives you should make a mix called "Re-entry" haha.
My fellow synthwave mixer Astral Throb, it is always a thing of true glory and honor to be able to witness your synthwave mixes and enjoy them to the fullest extent. You always inspire me to improve the quality of my own synthwave mixes. Thanks my friend!
TITLE SUGGESTIONS: ENTROPY - because heat death and chaos seem pretty darksynth. DYSTOPIA - obvious idea: you've done a Utopia - this'd be its darksynth cousin. Brilliant mix this week - thank you for it, and for all of them. Like a lot of people, I love the bit of Carl Sagan. Fantastic catalogue you've build up, now. Your mixes are reliably excellent. Excited to hear that it's darksynth next. Love the fast-paced, dark, cyberpunk stuff. A quick question, that I'm sure you've answered before: is it possible to get Diabolical back? That was *such* an energising and motivational mix for exercise and so forth... But whatever: thanks again, and stay well.

Carl Sagan has always been one of my heroes. Thank you for including the first track which featured his "Pale Blue Dot" speech.
As for a "cold and dark title", how about THE ABYSSAL PLAIN?
Do you have a list of the best mixes you have done in your opinion? if so, I'd love to see it.
Void vision
Microwave go mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
My god that intro is GOLDEN especially with carl sagan in the back
His voice is the sound of human achievement and possibility
ikr that gave me chills ngl
@@danb2947 Considering I adore the old COSMOS series for personal reasons, that description is 100% spot on. well done sir.

Your musical contribution has woven seamlessly into the tapestry of sounds, creating a symphony that resonates with both skill and emotion.
That Carl Sagan intro gave me chills...
„(...) on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.“
You couldn’t have chosen a better opening; those words get me every time ... Amen to that, Carl ✌️

The first sing, the one with the narrator; the man speaks nothing but truth. In my own opinion, VERY enlightening. ✨✨

wow didn't put on this mix expecting to immediately want to cry but here we are
Pseudo-intellectual things that are read along with music, that's what I watch these videos for
The day can't help but be a little bit better with a new mix
What better way to start the day than with a great new collection of music that starts with samples Carl Sagan!
God bless Carl Sagan. Activating Pale Blue Dot.
Pale Blue! YES!
Thanks for including Failed Star! Though more on the A C T I V A T E side than the Chill side. 🤔
Merci Astral Throb again ! Nice mix and artwork, have a beautiful day everyone !
These playlists are keeping my world bright right now 🤍
DJ Sagan with the beats.
On a journey through youtube's "suggested" rabbit hole, and suddenly you're on a brand new mix created that very same day. We were here bois.
2079 is a really good song for a stiff, rhythmic walk.
