That was the first and only time a 90 Class ventured south from The Hunter Valley Coal routes as their axle load forbids them from being used elsewhere on the rail network. Having said that it was a brilliant gathering from someone who was there albeit as a 17 year old.

Was this filmed before the NR class got the mufflers, so wierd hearing them roar instead of sounding like vacuum cleaners
