David…you are probably one of most honest guys doing eBike review. Thank you sir! I have a Lectric and noticed on my short ride yesterday that my iPhone app said I went 5.39 miles and the bike claimed 4.9. I believe others have said something similar and that there is a setting that needs to changed. So, that is on my list for this morning. Take care and again…thank you for your honest reviews. You are awesome. Cheers!
I was going to say wheel size was off but you figured it out. Some companies use 24" as the wheel size because the actual tires are larger than normal but fit on a 20" rim. If the sensor is in the correct spot though it wouldnt make a difference.
@@DavidBrandNew Fiido m1 pro 500w seems to go 26mph throttle only and 30-31mph pedal assist by reviewers for 1100$ but cheaper brakes, suspension(dual).. still not bad
@@DavidBrandNew yeah it's as famous as engwe this one missing cruise control tho but lot of them prefer it over engwe because looks, quicker start, top speed, bit lighter and less rattling, check it out if u didn't
I'd love to see a review of the new RadExpand 5. I dunno if it's just me, but I think they nailed the look. They have a folding stem that's shorter with a more bmx style handles, which reminded me of the diy project you've posted about
You need to physically measure the actual OUTER tire diameter. The PSI contributes to the overall diameter of the tires. This is the reason why you habe inaccurate speed reading.
Okay so we now know if you want to have even a little bit more fun... crank that wheel size up hahah. I calibrated my bike to gps on the Lectric and it was actually a little bit faster than what they had in settings. It hits 30-31mph with me (175lbs)
Review a G Force T42 folding bike. They sell for 1299...hydraulic brakes...they say its a 500 watt motor...but I think its a 750. I weigh 220 and it feels quicker..faster...more torque than my Magicycle. E bikes are like tattoos...You will get another one after your first...my T42 was my first.
Is there an option to put the tire size to 17-16”? That may have an effect on speed as it usually does, but it is odd for them to put in the actual size of the wheel & tire combines. It practically always says 20” and one changes it ftp smaller getting more speed.
Hi I have similar bike and have to say , that will not work in another direction bc this bike is unlocked and 28 miles is just all you can squeeze from 750W engine and 48volt battery with this weight, its just about power. But if you have bicycle restricted to 20 miles/h than changing wheel size to smallest will cheat computer that you going much slower and bike will pass his limit, not sure how much but always somethin. Computer will show 20m/h but bike should go faster.
Thanks for bringing us full circle ⭕️ on that story! I just sold my Blix Aveny, a great bike, but I’m looking forward to more cush! My back got hammered on long rides. Your reviews on the Yamee has me up to 99% convinced! My final question to you … I’m 6-1 225 lb … will that rear shock give me the cush I’m seeking?
I changed a lot of adjustments on my speedometer and it made the miles per hour incorrect you just need to adjust everything to the right setting 28 is the top I ever got
So my question is what is your top Pig on e bikes I have been kind of thinking about the magicycle because of the range and power New subscriber by the way
Maybe with weight considered it might do 30mph without the extra weight, I find my bafang 500w does 25mph on average with me on it i'm 69kg / 154lbs but if I just hold the back end up and let it rip it'll go up to 30mph with no weight on it, when I first experience 25mph it felt fast but nowadays it feels slower than it actually is lol guess you get used to it bro
Worst ebike out there. I bought it direct from company last year and motor gave out before 600 miles. Yamee refused to replace bike and instead sent me a new motor and told me to fix it!! Not only that, I’ve had multiple issues with the battery as well. Save your money and purchase something else!!!
Like I said I’d just keep my xp2.0 it’s been out for a minute so they have worked out the kinks but to think about it u did drop your glove so you could had lost that much weight to make you go faster 😂😂😂
A lot of these companies intentionally put the wrong tire diameter in the display. This makes their bikes seem faster. the company I originally bought mine from did the same thing. Sometimes they even lock it so that you can't correct it. Kinds shady but what can you do.
I remember I had a Chrysler 300 and I didn’t I changed the MPH to KM and i swore for the longest time I was moving faster before I realized the screen was tricking me lol🤣😎.
@davidbrandnew question bud I’m looking to getting this yamee e bike but can’t decide on the 750s or the 750 xl ? The xl 750 has a more beefy frame ? What are your thoughts?
@@DavidBrandNew i have an Engwe Engine 750 pro and it was all over the place a 22 was dead on for me at 22 in wheels weird the other thing was battery monitor showed 10 percent difference ie: 43% was 38% changed voltage to 52V and now it is accurate

having the right sized tire in the menu would fix the speed issue, good thing you can adjust that.
Yea and the settings menu is easy to navigate
Ty for the side by side speed comparison, no apologies necessary btw. Your content is dope.
I see one commenter was thinking the same thing as me about adjusting the wheel size to correct the speed inaccuracy
You think you could do a vid on how to adjust the front and rear suspension as well as brake maintenance/adjustments ?

Just ordered my Yamee for myself and the Espin Nesta for my GF. Thanks for the reviews and info!
Man, it really does look crazy fast on camera too! Still seems like a sick bike though.
Yea 27mph throttle only is still faster than most folding fat tire bikes. 👊🏽

Go into advanced menu and change wheel size
Exactly what I was going to say
That’s actually a great idea
Great minds think alike

Dave what is your fastest, favorite 20 inch tire, half throttle bike? Thanks 🙏

@DavidBrandNew I wonder will a battery with more AH fit in the fatbear bike? Like a 17.5AH or 20AH???
I put extra air in my tires and a fresh charge will do 28.5 mph.

Specs wise the seem to be the same so I would go with the one with a beefier frame. I have not ride that one tho
Can you change the controller and get more speed
I measured the tires, overall width is about 24" idk what app are you using
Its quicker because it has a 27 control i think
Amps Rides is still King
On tadpole trike speed looks faster as well, I had 25km/h and feeling like 40km/h
Anything close to 30mph feels fast
change wheel size to 22
22 makes it appear faster
