      Thanks for the review. I am currently looking to buy a bigger bmw that’s more practical. I currently live in Russia and tourings are quite rare, so I may need to buy a older generation x5 or x6. Thou I would like a f10 5 series touring, or a f01 7series. Decisions decisions :)

      Oleed Mohammed What’s your favourite part of the X1 M Sport?

      Planet Auto the new model makes a lot of changes on the outside, on the inside and under the skin.
      quick, nimble, spacious, well built, and undeniably upscale. The darling turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine revs eagerly, and the X1's ride is comfortable without sacrificing inspired handling.

      You know the X1, we think the looks are amazing, and the xDrive, very comfortable with superb road holding, your description is spot on.

    Good video, how’s the handling, better than the Acura RDX?

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately we haven’t got behind the wheel of the RDX, however this is one of the best handling vehicles in its class.

    Why do they keep saying dual clutch? It has a standard torque converter auto...The Zf 8 speed autos do change gears very fast almost like a dual clutch though.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s fitted with a hang on multiplate clutch when it has xDrive, according to our specs. Your right it is impressive and we’ve the new X5 coming in a couple of weeks, that’ll be an interesting comparison power wise, thank you.

      Planet Auto Actually the transmission is Aisin(Japanese brand), not ZF......and it’s not a dual clutch.....😉

    • @PlanetautoUK

    You say it doesn’t have adaptive cruise control. That’s false, it depends if u book it with the option. Mine has it, as well as the front parking sensors.

    Hello, today I got a BMW X1 Xdrive Xline brand new from a BMW handler. they told me that mileage is 270 km. because they couldn't access to the truck to bring it from car parking which is in another city. also production date is September 2017! Should I return the car and complain about it? the car looks new, but It doesn't have any cover or sticker that show it is really brand new.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Master Urlaub in that situation we’d reach out to BMW HQ and explain the situation, also speak to the handler too.

    Front wheel based drive, looks like a Mazda and drives like one, engine noise piped into the cabin, mini platform, over 400 watts less stereo power for the same price, electronic steering vs old school, ZF transmission vs Japanese (Aisin) transmission, 3 years maintenance vs 4 years... I prefer the old x1. Check out Mazda vs BMW comparisons. I’m writing this because I own the older model X1 and thought about upgrading, but decided against it because of the reasons above among others.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kurt Muroki this model has X drive, handles well with it’s different modes, have you driven this?

    • @kurtmuroki8763
      @kurtmuroki8763 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes.i prefer the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Not as boring as this suv. For me it’s all about adding up the pluses and negatives. Why pay more for less? It’s .2 seconds slower than the old standard x1 x drive yet 2mpg worse than the previous model. Why is this better? Why are we applauding this? Try stepping on the gas hard without touching the wheel like I did to test the torque steer, it’s not as bad on the x drive, but it’s there and quite annoying. It’s still front wheel drive based. Is the extra money worth it for a slightly improved bad x1 with a fake m badge. Real BMW enthusiasts would be mortified. Too bad there are very few left. They all moved on.

      6.3 0-60 vs 6.1 0-60 in the old version. 23mpg city and 32mpg highway vs 23mpg city and 34mpg in the old version. 228 vs 240 hp in the old x1. BORING. I still hit my head on the lift gate. Lol
