+Sara Aranda Happy Birthday! I still have this bag and find it very useful for work. I tend to use it handheld most of the time rather than over the shoulder since I find that there's a pull (especially when my purse if heavy with my computer) where the long strap attaches to the purse. Thank you so much for watching!
+Shari Thompson I still use this bag for work. I normally carry hand carry this bag. The section where the long strap is attached to the bag pulls up when I carry my computer and carry the bag over the shoulder. So, if I'm carrying a lot, I hand carry the bag rather than over the shoulder. It's very convenient to put my laptop with a cover in the open section and keep my wallets and valuable personal things in the zippered sections. I'm glad this video was helpful to you!
03:16 - The Hamilton East Wests in saffiano often have big padlock hardware and thick chain detailing, as well as these wide, non-detachable shoulder straps, yet you noted that this bag is heavier in comparison. Considering they're both made out of the same saffiano material and the Sutton lacks the hardware and non-detachable strap means the Sutton should in theory be lighter weight, but the fact it isn't is likely due to the size and placement of the top handles. I noticed that the Sutton handles are smaller in length and placed higher up on the bag vs. the Hamiltons. The smaller size and higher placement means when your bag is loaded up the weight is _really_ going to pull down on your arm, which is unfortunate. If they'd made the handles longer and placed them lower then basic physics would have ensured that the weight of the bag was more supported. So the bag weight itself is actually lighter than the Hamilton, but ends up feeling heavier. Thank you for this vid, as I was considering buying a Sutton, but realized all of this thanks to your comments and looking closer to cross compare the bag designs. I feel like I would have gotten annoyed with the bag after a couple of uses due to the heavy pull down on my arm and then wound up reselling it. So, I've saved myself the trouble. :D
FANTASTIC Comment!!! I think you're right. Me or my daughter don't use this bag very much anymore unless we have a business meeting that's formal that we need to attend. My daughter has this bag now and she uses a Tumi backpack to work everyday! hahaha! She has to walk a lot and take the public transportation to get to work and finds the backpack much more comfortable to carry. When she worked at a different company and driving to work, she used this much more (that was a long time ago). Thanks so much for your comments and watching this video!
LPB101 I like the medium. As I use it more, I see a few flaws. The long strap is thin. So, if you put heavy things in it, it digs into your shoulders (that's another reason I wouldn't get the large). Also, the area where the long strap attaches to the handbag is inside and pulls up when I have a lot of heavy things (i.e. Macbook) inside the handbag. When I have a Macbook inside, I use it handheld. I'm afraid of ripping the junction of the strap attachment to the purse. It has help up well thus far. It is used everyday for work and lot of people compliment on it. Even though the strap is thin and not firmly attached, I like the convenience of having the strap if I needed to be hands free. I hope this helps.
I just happened to run across your video. I have been looking at Michael Kors bags lately and am considering this one. Do you still like it after having it for awhile? Also, can you get plenty in it? I am thinking of the large size Sutton and would love your opinion. Thanks!
Since this is a very structured bag, I use it mainly for work. When I put a laptop and other work related and personal things, it's rather heavy to carry over the shoulder, so I carry it handheld. Also, the areas where the long strap attaches to the handbag pulls the fabric a lot --- I'm afraid that it may tear at these junctions. I like the open area since I can carry everything I need. Thank you for watching!
Which one do u prefere selma or sutton? Isn't your bag unsecure by Nor having a zip, im going to travel this summer and go out to town alot, so if i buy sutton im scared to get stolen by the stuff inside, is it easy to steal from the bag?
Yusra Saleh Sorry to reply so late, but I was having technical issues. I prefer the Sutton medium to carry my laptop. It's not too big but I'm able to carry my Macbook Pro 13". I, however, prefer the Selma Medium for security reasons you mentioned. I bought the Sutton because it was on an incredible sale in the color I liked. The color of Selma handbags on sale was not as neutral as my Sutton. I totally agree with you that I prefer to have zippered handbags when I go traveling and go out of town. I have heard of women who got their items stolen at airports or subways wearing unzipped, open totes. It's not as big of an issue if you are traveling by car and are not going to be in a crowded areas. I hope this helps....
Joliet, I'm so sorry for not reponding earlier (over 4 years ago!), but I'm seeing all these comments from my subscribers for the first time today! I don't know where I bought it. My daughter still uses it for work. Happy Holidays!
Beatrice Thompson yes. I still have it. My daughter uses it for her work. She still loves it. She does not snap the buttons on the side, but I imagine that it could pop out.....
+Mario Superga Thanks for watching this video! The top length is 11 1/2 inches but the open space can stretch out comfortably to 12 inches. Bottom length is 12 1/4 - 1/2 inches, depth is 5 1/8th - 1/4 inches, height is 9 inches. This is with the side buttons undone. Hope this helps!
Bojana Damian Hi. Thanks for the question. Sorry that I didn't reply sooner, but I had to find the tag. It is Sutton Suntan/Blk MD NS Satchel Leather 30H4GSUS6T. I'm not sure what MD or NS means -- it was on the tag. I hope this helps.
I totally understand.... I was really hesitant in showing my face for years (I started my channel in 2013)! Then about a year ago, I decided to just take a jump and show my whole face. :-).

EarlyBumblebee,
This is the medium size. I bought it at the Michael Kors store in our local mall and got it for about $170 on sale!

Do you prefer the large or the medium for a 5'4" person? Also has it held up well with the MacBook inside?

this helped a lot! one last thing, does the macbook fit comfortably inside leaving some room or is it a tight fit?
