Love the green 78g+, i recently got my black extra fine after waiting since may, still waiting on my other 78g+s to come.... But such is the current situation!
I love my 78g+ EF. I don't use it much for everyday writing, but it's great for testing ink. If an ink performs well with that pen, I know it will be a well behaved ink. I finally have all the 78g pens that I ordered...one of them took 3 months to arrive.
Asa Gao came out a little flatter than I expected. .. I like it but I was expecting something more ... The more I watch your ink reviews videos, the more I believe that the Custom 74 Fine nib makes all inks look nicer than any other nib ! ! ! And that makes me love it even more :-)
I know what you mean Korax. The more pens and inks I write with, the more I appreciate my Custom 74 with fine nib. The nib is wet enough that dry inks don't cause problems and it's so fine that wet inks don't make a mess.
I have enough similar blue inks to last me a lifetime, but you just can’t go wrong with any of the Iroshizuku inks. I just got the Custom 74 in Forrest Green, I have Tsuki-Yo in it, matches the pen very nicely and writes like a dream!
Congratulations on the new Custom 74! When I got my Custom 74 I loved it so much that I considered selling all my other pens. I didn't, but I still love Pilot's 14k nibs.
@@gadgetstop321 I like the 74, but not as much as the Custom 823. When I got the 823, I thought as you said, I could get rid of all my other pens, and never buy a new one and I’d be happy! (....Yeah, right!) My 74 seems a little dry, even when I use more lubricated inks. I don’t feel that “bounce” everyone talks about... nib feels stiff to me, not much different than the Prera. I never really gave it a good cleaning after purchasing, I might do that today and see if it helps with the ink flow. Today I might buy a Platinum 3776. There will also be Opus pens where I’m going, and an Estie Peacock. Will I buy only the 3776 or will I buy 2 or 3 more pens too? May as well, since I am going to buy them all eventually anyway, right?
@@geslinam9703 I'm surprised that your 74 feels stiff. 🤔 I better not try an 823. I'm content with my 74, Stargazer, and Legno...I'm just going to keep telling myself that! 😀
Have been finding my Pilot Custom 74 ‘F’, which is currently inked with Iroshizuku Ajisai, a bit too light for me: time to swap it out with Asa-Gao me thinks!; thanks for this :)
I was surprised by asa-gao. It's a lovely colour but I thought it would be a little too light in a fine nib. I needn't have worried; as with many other Iroshizukus, it behaves very well and pops out of the page enough to be read.
This is a nice color. I think I own it-I’ll have to check-so I’m gonna ink it up. Hey, I really do appreciate your use of the different papers. Are you Kathy or Cathy? Curios minds have to know! 🤪
Oh, of all the ink reviewers, your voice is the most charming
Love this color!! I’ve added it to my list of samples to buy. Thank you for the review.
This is one of my favorite inks! It’s such a nice color and so smooth.
I know what you mean! I really appreciate inks like this one that you can use with any size nib and it's equally pleasant to write with.

I’m still trying to get my hands on a clear 78G but I love the black one I have. So smooth!

Really great videos! 🙏🏼 What notebook is that? 👀
I'm using an A6 Hobonichi Techo. It's a planner, but I use the daily pages as an ink journal.

You're welcome Angus! When I first got my Custom 74, Asa-Gao was my favorite ink to use with it.

I find that most of the Iroshizuku inks work great in fine, and even extra fine nibs.

Hi Frank! This is a good ink for fine nibs...no crazy properties, just well behaved and a nice color. And I spell my name with a C...Cathy. 😀
First again
