Great video, if I wanted a long day out I would sometimes go from Pinner to Uxbridge via Harefield then get the 607 to Shepherds Bush. I moved away to the country in 2003 and have never managed to get over the shock of how terrible bus services are here in comparison with London!

I was born in Shepherds Bush, I worked on the buses from 1987, worked out of X, UX, HT, S, V, FW, now live abroad but watching these videos sometimes makes me homesick and miss driving buses... How everywhere has changed... Love these videos... Thank you 😊

Thanks for this fascinating video for someone like me, who used to live in Acton; I moved away about 25 years ago. Interested to see that the Red Lion and Pineapple (just west of the centre of Acton) is still there, as is, two buildings along, the North China Restaurant. But, in between, the old Tram Shed has gone. Not sure how well the 20mph limit is being observed, by traffic in general, especially on the dual carriageway stretch between Southall and Hanwell where, frankly, the limit seems rather ridiculous. Area around White City is completely unrecognisable.

If I came back to live I wouldn’t recognise both Hillingdon and Uxbridge, I was born in Hillingdon Hospital ( Colne ) I moved away in 1987.

If you look at bus route history you will notice that the 607, 207 and the 237 bus routs are very long and strait.
