Really enjoying the series. You should harvest the wight corpses, sometimes they drop jotun blood. additionally you can eat several onions / garlic and the healing effect is addative, when you see the little cross buff icon if you eat multiples it will have a number above it for how many times you ate and you get a comparable amount of healing.
So into this game due to a few playthrus. But your videos really locked me in. Doing a full restart with my 3 friends this weekend, can't wait! We definitely need a few toggles to control the villagers actions - stop messing with my torches😂
Been watching some of your videos since I started playing Aska recently, quite helpful. One small bit of constructive criticism that I'll drop on ya, though: Next time you watch back one of your videos after recording it, take out a pen and paper and make a tick mark for every time you end a sentence with "ok?" or "alright?" or "right?". In face-to-face convo it's not so bad, because it shows you're looking for comprehension from the person you're explaining something to, and they could stop you if confused and say "no, wait, explain that again". In video form it's extremely jarring since it's just a one-sided conversation. Anyway, enjoying the content. Keep making it!
Not sure on the resources being finite. I made it through winter and new spring brought new resources. Atleast i noticed the plants were like thatch and berries are back.
most crop regrow on the season that is appropriate but I personally have not seen the reeds regrow. wonder if I have a bug. I know the regrowth of trees and reeds is a hot topic right now on the discord.
@@manicclo I saw fresh baby trees, berries the thatch bush. And more veggies. I'm hoping that's same in the areas where my flags are as well. Taking a break and playing 7dtd right now. So will check when I return.
yeah i think they should introduce a first time player mode that gives warning or make the time move slower. also can we please get a seasons timer lol
Bro I need major help lol. I find my ppl starve to death often. The crops take a very long time to grow. The invasions often wipe out all my ppl. If I don't get too many ppl then It gets cold and I'm not ready for winter. Not mention I don't even understand how the flags work in terms of builders and workshops. I put them down in hopes of harvesting an area but they just make a mess. Does the building flag mean as long as their is something to build they will harvest those resources around the flag? Sincerely frustrated Gamer
Ps. I play along right with your play thru a little ahead or al ittle behind but I am not successful. By episode 5 things fall apart or starvation hits
@@manicclo I decided to slow down dramatically. I focused more on exploration and placing down the flags. Whenever I added a new person I had already setup hunting flags or gathering flags. I test the limits of what exactly the individual occupations are in the game. The limits and what exactly is need to automate their activity. I guess my issue more soo now scheduling and making sure I have coverage for gaps in production and getting them prepared for the real game. Right now I'm in late summer so I'm trying to get the pelts and trying to learn the market system at the moment. so technically I'm ok. I'm just still playing in my custom game so when I play the real game hopefully I have more knowledge and speed to be able to handle the invasions and fighting etc.
I like the game but cant get them to get much food. I assigned two gatherers and three flags and they cant get hardly any foor for 6 villagers and me.Also think when meat is in a large chunk dont think it will expire like meat pieces. Also had cook house added villager to it and he does nothing.
the cook house only works off recipe's you have discovered. you will have to experiment to unlock more. than create a task list for him to work through
they tend to not get healed or eat something unless they are really hurt or really hungry. during leisure the will take care of some of that stuff and get a bit of morale since working drops there morale some

You are very welcome
if you give your woodworker a stonepickaxe, does he harvest tree stumps for firewood?
as far as i know we currently have no way of making villagers do that
The Bear killed two of my NPC's out of 3. wtf is that. lol

why do you give 1 hour of leisure time in the middle of work, do they get tired or thirsty what? is it optimal to give them that mid work break?
