These videos are great, the community needs more videos that compare games not just the typical "this game is good but this game is good also"
Thanks!
I've played both more than 5 times. I would look forward to another play of Point Salad anytime. I never need to play Sushi Go again...
In point salad you can use the same box and make 2 games of 3 players each if you want the lower player count. Since player count decides the number of cards used in point salad.
I'm not aware if you have been doing the short 1min overviews for a while now, but I like it.
Thanks! I've been doing them for about 3 years now! Here is a whole playlist of them! th-cam.com/play/PLSn1bMZH_6Q3YdRjxbu0EX8abzwKl_vsH.html
Sushi Go! has a physicality to it that Point Salad can’t touch. And like Bart Simpson said “you can’t make friends with salad”
Sushi Go is a trainer game to get players ready for 7 Wonders.
I agree with you, GBG. I'm not even sure I like the appearance of SG better, but that's a subjective thing. Whereas SG is what might be called 'cutesy', PS is merely cute, which I personally prefer. And in terms of the game play, I think a lot of people have missed the cleverness of PS. Great little game to start an evening of gaming, or just to play when a lighthearted, fun passage of time is called for. Thumbs up.
Thanks Hop!
Point salad looks fun!
Don't forget zany penguins! But yeah point salad looks quite easy and quick!
I do love Zany Penguins! Point salad offers great depth with a 2 min teach!
I think point salad looks like more with cat lady than sushi go, what do you think?
Sushi Go at the grocery store? That's a little worrying xD
Sushi go party for the win here and it can be found for about 15 to 20 dollars so it's worth it to by pass both those 2 games mentioned and get sushi go party it's best over all and more variation of play with more cards with out the complications of point salad
I agree. And having a better theme with great artwork only helps the game last. I happen to hate games that are overly mean, and Point Salad seems a bit rough. My group tends to have AP prone players who don't like fixed goals as well (they did not like Fluxx) so the game seems not for me.
I happen to keep the original Sushi Go for the small size (basically a deck of cards), but I might give it to a friend since I already own Sushi Go Party.
I’m not a fan of Sushi Go, though I know it’s popular. I’m also not crazy about the theme of Point Salad, but it looks like a betterr game that’s worth a try. The player interaction and plays 2-6 is a big plus.
For anyone interested there is a Pokemon edition of point salad
What? I never heard of this!
@TheGameBoyGeeks its called point salad eevee, only in Korean though
Anyway, I want to play with sushi, not generic vegetables :)
Point Salad art looks bad, the theme is more boring, the mechanics seem too simple, and it sounds just mean... not fun. I'll take Sushi Go any day.
Have you played it though?
@@christaggart5687 yes, we love Sushi Go party far better. I find it playable but overhyped. I guess you could say it fills no gap in our collection.
