The idea of Vulkan and Adrax chilling in a Land Raider together on their way to battle is so thematic, lol. I can just imagine Vulkan pulling the bus stop string in the redeemer, so he can get dropped off at the mid objective. Then the redeemer continues on with Adrax and his BGV bros further up the battlefield. EPIC.
Don't skip out on Flamestorm Aggressors. Get a 6 man squad, give them a captain (even tho he still cant be equipped with a fucking flamestorm gauntlet) for a free devastating wound stratagem, and put them in a land raider redeemer.
Personally my plan is going to be 2 land raider redeemers, one with the aggressor squad and the other with adrax and bladeguard, and I'm going to drive them up both sides of the board with Vulkan sitting in the middle pointing at whatever I want to kill.
One of my most favorite parts of 10th edition is the marrying of enhancements and Stratagems to a particular detachment. Just the right amount of boosting without going overboard. Also seems easier to keep internal balance.
Agrax Earthshade is a great unit!
This is the current army I am currently working on so this will be very helpful to watch a few times thank you guys
Vulkan lives! *stomp stomp*
I feel like this detachment and the Iron Hands are the two best detachments in the codex, and since Manus is otherwise occupied and the new big bad is a tech-related demon, I think Vulkan might be up next
Love this detachment AND your breakdown! bolter inceptors seem like they'd be incredible in this
Another strong use of the War tempered artifice +3 str enhancement is a Judiciar with a bladeguard squad. His executioner relic blade becomes str 10 devastating wounds and precision. Anti armour capabilities but mostly a lethal character killer.
Im saving up for a masterclass, hopefully next spring Ill have time an money to take several. Cant wait!
We need Tu'shan model!
Agreed
Vulkan lives! Cheering for you Michael
Great idea with the Intercessors !
That Burning Vengance is funny and cool. Someone shoots at your Redeemer, one of your Salamanders gets out saying "I just put a fresh paint you MF" and flames your oponent unit to crisp and just gets back into the Redeemer like nothing happened 😅
16:32 - but you couldn’t get back in with Rapid Embarkation because you had disembarked that turn, right?
its same phase, i thought the same until recently
@@RighkerFilmsnot sure where you’re getting that, rapid embarkation says unless the unit disembarked this turn. So you could disembark and shoot in your opponents shooting phase then the earliest you could get back in would be your move phase normally or during your fight phase
@@RighkerFilms yeah, I don’t have the codex myself but the screenshot I have says “this turn”
Captain with 5 infernus marines in a Impulsor can use firing deck 6. Once the disembarked you can target them for free with a basic ploy stratagem if you give the impulsor the comms array you can roll a d6 on 5+ you gain a cp because you targeted the units in 6". Sounds like fun 😂
Deathwatch.
**Proteus KT, max Terminators w heavy weapons. Assault all the time.
**DW Veterans w LVRW +1 STR + bonus vs Xenos.
**Reivers + Phobos LT. deep strike + move-shoot-move.
Looking for clarification gotten push back on the Detachments within 12 +1 to strength. That effects shooting weapons but within 12 wouldn't it also effect melee?
Sad that they still haven’t given Adrax’s thunder hammer Devastating wounds
I've got a Templars style army, and I am very interested to see how this works. Th reason is because everyone in the army has a heavy bolt pistol. I'm very interested to see how a million str 5 AP -1 shots add up over the coarse of the battle. My theory is that it'll death by a thousand cuts, but we'll see.
6 Eradicators with an attached Apothecary Biologis, carrying Forged in Battle
That's one guaranteed Lethal Hit per shooting phase for starters. With Melta, which I think is going to be the highest value you can reasonably get out of a free Lethal.
Vs a vehicle or monster they reroll hits without needing Oath. Hit at S10, reroll wounds vs vehicles and monsters as well, and you can chuck the +1 to wound strat at them if you really want to go mad. Also wound rerolls. Basically any tank or monster lacking an invul is guaranteed dead, and even a lot of stuff with invuls is probably going down if they fail more than a couple of saves.
Oh, and bear in mind Forged In Battle is per turn, not per round. So it can be used during Overwatch. And they still get their rerolls vs vehicles and monsters during OW as well. Genuinely effective Melta overwatch is going to be *extremely* scary vs armies that run heavy on tanks or monsters.
You can also do something similar with Melta Devastators and a Lieutenant, and they have the "change one hit roll to a 6" rule baked in. No rerolls on anything else though, and with 4 Multi Melta at most you're getting less shots, but it does have the benefit of being a bit cheaper at least. Personally I'd still go with the Eradicators.
Don't want to necro thread this but it sadly ISNT an unmodified 6 so it really only is a fancy +1 to hit :(
Is this list not 25pts over?
I see the list 25 points over as well.
I didn't think you can give enhancements to epic units like Adrax and Vulkan
You can’t.
Hence the bladeguard ancient who will take the enchantment
Feels like there's a ton of options with the strategems. A land raider or repulsor full of marines pulling up on an objective is going to be such a headache for anyone to deal with
Can someone please confirm if Adrax can be given enhancements? I can't find the option on the warhammer app.
Epic heros can never be given enhancements unfortunately
I was about to say; Deathwatch are a *great* non-Sallies option here
Do Blackstars/Stormravens also benefit from 'transport shenanigans '?
Absolutely. Stormravens with eradicators are amazing.
6 man aggressor unit should average 8 Dev wounds in shooting, D6 + 1 shots with twin linked. they should kill any target you put them into with that + a charge and +1 to wound strat.
Am I missing something, the codex says captains can use a stratagem for free, is there a faq somewhere saying it’s only a battle tactic?
its was nerfed in a dataslate update from GW
Plasma inceptors seem crazy strong with the +1 to wound strat, they pop 3" away from their target so they can activate it, so on a unit of 6 if it's also the ennemy unit is the oath target, it takes 12 shots, 3+, S9 (S8+1), ap-3, dmg3 with full reroll hits, full reroll wounds and +1 to wound ...
I think with quick math it's around 15 dmgs average on a T10 2+ vehicle ....
Where are the Inceptors getting the full wound re-rolls?
They are twin-linked
Ventris and 6 assault centurions
What about gav cannons and this detactment
Firstborn actually do still exist.
Aggressors! And a infernus marines in impulsor party bus
31:50 Mike, you IDIOT 🤣🤣
It would be a shame if your Redeemer/Adrax/Vulkan limo met a Tyrannofex wouldn’t it Mike ;)
Did I just miss it? No aggressors in the force??
I'm no 40k specialist, but drop pods aren't a bad option either to get these short range guns into combat!
I think drop pods are cheaper the the transports as well
No re-embark shenanigans, though, right?
Blacksallyplar impulsor / valient spam anyone? Full with infernus or sword brethren
Dont you lead yourself
Nice video, but a really bad detachment, just like all others except Ironstorm and gladius
Building salamanders 🙌 just in time for all the Space Marine points to hike🫠
This will be utterly useless 1y from now with codex creep.
Why do salamanders detachment get +1S when the drawbacks are so huge? You need to be in 12´range meaning you will be charged. For this you get s5 bolters. Wow..useless.
The other detachments get +1 to wound and sustained for their drawbacks (like standing still).
So it's useless because the other ones are "so" much better? It's a really lore friendly and functional detachment.
What happened to the players who liked good thematic rules instead of meta-defining/breaking rules. GW really ruining its own player base. 😓
because NOBODY likes to play soem shit codex that get to auto lose vs the latest OP codex creep.
No matter if you play a tournamen tor beer pizza garage game BALANCE is what makes the game fun, knowing you both stand equal amount chance to win, not knowing that guy will win 8 games out of 10 because his units are geedumb retardedly broken and yours are shit and he doesnt even need any skill to win. @@smacky101
