to me this was the best phase of Maroon 5 (2007-2011, from their second album till Moves like Jagger) - they were just the right amount of popular but not 'overexposed', wrote great classic pop songs that were very distinct from anything else on the radio and it helped that Adam looked his lothario best around this time, now he looks like a 90s ska band parody with the bleached hairdo
It was Adam's vocally best phase too. He had way more technique than in their first album tours and a cleaner voice than now (getting old and losing range).
Nah, 2002-2008 was Maroon 5s best Years. Hands all over still used real instruments and self written songs. But the album wasn’t that great and dubbed “A flop” after debuting at Number 2 in the billboard.
Ye but even Overexposed was great. Love Somebody, One More Night, Payphone, and stuff from V was great. Only songs recently was Cold from Red Pill Blues and Wait. It was when he had more experience singing but before he starts to lose range, pitch etc. He did a collab on Harder to Breathe with Rob Thomas that sounded great
"wake you up, in the middle of the night"...how romantic lol. I like the song though. Very catchy, nice tune.
soothing bass lines, ugh i can hear it all day long.

Agreed. During this time, I also think they had the perfect balance between Rock, Soul and Pop.

Excellent post and agree with all the replies too!
