After tried IEM's like the HBB Raptgo, the Fiio JH5 and a few others I would say this; unless you have an issue with open back headphones, just get the K702's. They cost less than £110 new on Amazon and you literally need to spend 10 times more (HD800s) to beat their soundstage and imaging. Physics don't lie. I see a lot of reviewers talking about gear A and B that was just released, but the princes of soundstage and imaging only second to the HD800 seem to go unnoticed because they've been around for longer than literally TH-cam itself.
For me, I always fall into the trap of how a product looks. The 800S looks great, and that would be the only reason I’d buy it haha. I like how there is little to no gap when the band/headphone cups meet the head (if that makes sense).
6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1
@@ShadelessDen Does make perfect sense. The HD800s look like their worth every penny and I'll get a pair eventually. In the meantime I'll keep my K702... Might even do the balanced mod on them since my pair is now a decade old and new ones cost less than what I paid for mine 10 yeas ago if you can believe it.
Try spinfit w1 tips on aful p5. Also try pulling the back of your ears and opening your jaw while inserting for the best seal for all iems. Also try tangzu tang sencai tips on the orchestra lite, they eliminate pressure buildup on ventless iems.
I just got the zero reds and I actually prefer them over the blues. The blues just sound way too dark for my taste, and I lose a lot of the directionality with them
If you like that wide and deep nozzle Truthear Nova If just deep and thin Kiwi Ears Quintet I’m waiting for the Simgot EM6L, reviewers says it the best
You know, I found that the blues still performed better. But hey, I’m happy they work well for you. I really wanted them to work for me because of that awesome red!!! Haha
Im planning on buying the Truthear x crinacle zero blue, after seeing alot of good reviews on them for fps games (I mostly play valorant) and i was wondering what microphone you would recommend to pair with them
I want to make the big jump to a "big boy IEM" but my only experience is the Moon drop aria snow edition and they fit great, but I feel like mids lack. It so hard to choose even with your amazing video :( what would you do @ShadlessDen
Find the good things that you like in the moondrop Aria, study its tuning graphs, and compare other IEM’s with it. If it lacks the clarity of the mids, find an IEM that has strong highs and lows, but a less muddy mid! You can do ittttt!
@@ShadelessDenhaving strong highs and lows in turn recesses the mids which doesnt solve the issue of mids lacking. increasing bass & treble would make the IEM more v shaped therefore having less treble and bass would increase clarity of mids and lead to a more neutral sound.
@@iamshork I recommend trying these eq setting (use equaliser apo on windows) for your moondrop aria snow edition basically it should sound more natural and balanced with this as it is essentially moondrop blessing 3 tuning with more midbass/lower midrange: Preamp: 0.0 dB Filter 1: ON LSC Fc 300 Hz Gain -2.5 dB Q 0.800 Filter 2: ON PK Fc 1600 Hz Gain -4.4 dB Q 1.000 Filter 3: ON PK Fc 4500 Hz Gain -5.0 dB Q 3.000 Filter 4: ON PK Fc 12300 Hz Gain -5.3 dB Q 1.500
To be honest, if it were that low, I'd just use Apple Ear buds at that range. For me, I'd try to focus on value overall. The blues are probably the lowest I'd pay for an IEM.
I only have the DSP version of the Chu II so I can’t test it on my console, but the details I hear in music tell me it might be a solid pick for gaming. QKZ x HBB was the only other pair I’ve tried for single-player gaming and the immersion + boom from its extra bassy nature made it a really fun pair.
With the orchestra lites, the trick is to use a larger tip than usual but push it all the way down on the nozzle till the end of the tip almost flush with the nozzle. It’ll fully seal without actually going into your ear canal. The size and shape of the iem will still lock it into place and won’t move around or irritate your ear. Just try it. Once you have a good seal, those things are amazing!
@@__vha I used the clear stock tips but the its mostly about the size so it works for me with all the tips that are that size The trick for me was just using a tip that’s big enough to fully fill that little cavity that’s just above your earlobe and inside that little middle lip in the front of your ear without actually going into you ear canal. It basically deals at the entrance of the canal without penetrating it. U just adjust the length the tip sticks out so that it pushes firmly against the canal entrance without going in and the rest of the iem frame kinda locks into your outer ear. That way it’s perfectly secure. It won’t move around and cause discomfort and also isn’t sodomizing your ear canal and moving around in there driving you crazy. Once I found that sweet spot, I played 7-8hrs with no soreness but still felt that they were there. After about the third day playing, I kinda forget they’re there other than the occasional itch from not having ventilation. Absolutely zero soreness or genuine discomfort. That occasional itch is all I’ve felt since.
@@ShadelessDen I bought some spinfit tips before I found the trick but they were my normal size to fit inside my canal so the trick doesn’t work with them. They’re great on my 7hz sonus iems though. I think they would be great for the trick as well if they were the bigger size. Also, if you’re playing fps type multiplayer games like warzone and you’re using them for that precise directional audio and u can’t wear the orchestra lites the entire time and need something affordable to switch out to for a break, the 7hz sonus iems will fill that void perfectly. The directional audio precision is superb. I struggle to hear a difference in warzone as far as pinpointing enemies and they’re only like $60. I bought mine from Amazon in “used like new” condition for $44. They’re so good, I’ve bought a set for 2 of my sons, and then i bought one and sent it to my nephew in the air force and another to a discord friend I play with just to show how much better iems are than headsets for warzone. My nephew dropped his steel series headset for them and my discord friend uses them over his beyer dynamic dt770 headphones. The orchestra lites sound a little better as far as beauty of the sound goes but as far as game performance, I’m confident that nobody who tries them will be disappointed.
I've heard great things about the Hexa, but not the best for Dioko (mainly due to the fit/comfort). I'd shoot for the Hexa first. But I understanding why you'd want the Dioko! I enjoyed the 7Hz Timeless and was immediately drawn to that planar!
For my ears, and comfort, I preferred the Blues. However, when I could get a proper seal, I preferred the Kiwis. It’s all based on the ear hole hahah 😂
@@SileDevil Yes to all the above. Check out the vide for more details :). In the end, it comes down to the game, personal preference, and what the IEM is going to be used for specially. Overall, for gaming, if it would have sat right in my ear, it out performs the blues. But the blues won for my ears.
Zero red has bad quality driver .. but crinicle tuned to maximum capacity… still lac of resolution.. because driver can’t pull it.. no matter what you do ,
Can you try zero red and blue for pubg mobile footstep and directional test bcz no one is youtube is doing plz you can just watch the video and reply to me so i can order it 🙏
new to iem, i dislike over the ear cables / earhook style cables ? i don't really know what they're called what are my alternatives, can i just switch out the cables for any regular straight ones? are there any kind of cables i should take a look at?
Yes, there are a variety of cables! It really depends on the IEM you buy. Most IEM’s have a 2 pin connector. Overall, just verify the connection type of your IEM and search on Amazon!
I think the Orchestra wins in comfort and Audio. However it lacks bass. But based on the cost, and what you get for your money, I’d choose the blues for that reason. They are that good for $50.
@@ShadelessDen I think I've narrowed my focus on the Moondrop Kato from reviews I've been watching. I'd love to see a video where you compare the Kato to the Orchestra Lites when playing Tarkov.
@@olternaut So I REALLY liked the Kato. It was so great for gaming because it brought a more tempered excitement to sound, and was loaded with detail. Directional audio was awesome, footsteps were easy to hear and distinguish, and more! However, where it fell was with the interchangeable nozzles. I found that they did not stay put, and I always had to tighten them again. When loose, the sound was rattling, like something was loose. So because of that, I would say the Orchestra beats the Katos. If you don't mind dealign with that, KATOS all day.
@@ShadelessDen Well that's disappointing. I was actually counting on that screw in nozzle to be rock solid. And that the Orchestra Lites has a reputation of being uncomfortable because it's so large and unvented. At $166 I want to take a risk with the Kato and make sure that as I use them the nozzle is screwed on tight! Unless there is something on the horizon that is similar I should be looking forward to.

@@ShadelessDen yea i watch but I just wonder your current opinion ^^ and im suprised there is that much difference between red and blue, even red is more expensive
which eartips u used for the truthear x crinicle zero blues? i bought them yesterday and yes they better then my headphones hdj2000 mk2 gaming wise but they are very fatiguing and for music they sound really bad compared to my headphones
I recommend the blues as they are more exciting. The bass is more prominent, and it also outperforms the red in detail resolution. But that’s what my ears say. I’d say buy both, and test them out!🎉
Earned a sub. I wanted to finally try IEMs for specially Tarkov and came across this video. Great video, will start off with the blues and then maybe in the future get a better upgrade. Do you have any recommendations on a better upgrade after the blues?
Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed it! I highly recommend the Moondrop Katos with their gold filters (these come with IEM’s). Currently making a review of these!
Ola bass Or Sigmot ew200 Or Trn conch Or Moondrop CHU II Or TRUTHEAR x Crinacle zero RED OR BLUE Or Kz pr3 Or 7HZ x Crinacle zero 2 Or Blon x HBB Z300 I want a gaming experience for a normal person to use, and they will be useful in FPS games, such as ambient sounds, watching videos, and podcasts. The bass is not as important to me as the sound, its purity and clarity are more important Is there a better option than them in the $40 category?
I've never understand "gaming" gimmick in audio devices. Most great games have virtual surround sound in those, so you'd never need more that common good audio devices have offered.
did you have any problems with hearing yourself when talking to teammates? i come from an open back headphone and ive heard great things about the blues, but im afraid of how itll affect communication
A DAC replaces the DAC you have in your PC, that is the bare minimum for it to work. You don't need a DACst of the time, specially for gaming when some games can't even handle higher sample rates. For music though, if you go for high Res (not TH-cam or Spotify crap), you may want one, but still not necessary since most of the time nobody can tell the difference
I know I'm very late, but your experience with the Aful P5 is probably entirely caused by the lack of a seal. Dunu S&S tips and Comply foam tips could be your solution, I know because I have a similar problem with a lot of stubby nozzle IEMs.
Yes, I just tested those the other day! Compared to these, I would say those have a slight edge. However, In my opinion. I think the real winner is the Moondrop Katos!
If you’ve already turned up your PC, Tarkov, and volume settings, and it’s still low, you may want to test out the fit of your tips. Adjust them and see how that goes. Worst case, you may want to look at adding a Dac to your setup. A Dac/amp will give the product more power to run. You shouldn’t need one, but that’s what I’d do bud!
@@ShadelessDen thanks for the reply! I think I may just return them, before this I was running some $15 earbuds I found at target and they are way louder and I can hear further. What’s weird is the crin zero blues sound super loud when playing music but in Tarkov they’re just so quiet..
@@ShadelessDen apologies for the late response! I took a look at the game audio settings and overall volume is set to 100, I couldn’t find another way to amplify :/. I also tried every ear piece and volume didn’t increase for me, am I missing something?

They look awesome. I am really liking the Planar game these days. I think that may be the feature, to be honest. The only experience I have with Planar's is the 7hz Timeless, and it still has my top pick!
I still run my DT 990 Pros, but out of these 4, the Blues have more of an advantage by making more important sounds come through. The directional audio was crazy good. However, I found another pair that I like even more: Moondrop Katos. Nab those instead!
@@ShadelessDenI believe he was referring to in-game headsets, like the Razors or Tac Sports. He wants to know as this affects audio range, loudness, and compression.
@@Subtracks_ ohhhhhhhhhhhh my bad. Yes, I tested out all of them. The Sardins improved major, as I had a hard time pin point enemies. They were mushy and bass heavy with my DT990’s. However, they were more clearer and better with IEM’s.
The problem with the Crinacle Zero Red making it difficult to detect where enemies are has to do with the game's engine. Tarkov is famous for it's horrible audio engine, you should perhaps try a different game or something else to test their directional audio.

Also it measures really good, distortion and shit is just outstanding for the price. If you don't trust me, you can just google "apple dongle measurements" and do your own research.
"Audio in gaming is subjective" With Tarkov Arena Clip ahahahahah I know your feeling bro
i watched this video after buying the truthear reds and thought i made a mistake, i bought the blues and didnt notice any difference in the imaging and soundstage, they sounded pretty much the same to me
That’s great!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 the reds look better in my opinion. Are you using that little dac-booster or no?
@@ShadelessDen im using it without the bass booster, i think the bass is already good as is, i will buy a dac amp and see if anything changes if not i guess ill try finding something else cause i love these for music but the directional audio is really messing with me
After tried IEM's like the HBB Raptgo, the Fiio JH5 and a few others I would say this; unless you have an issue with open back headphones, just get the K702's.
Yes, I think the K702 is a great product. No need to upgrade. Keep those bad boys.

I have the zero blues but they are extremely quiet when gaming. Do I need an external dac or amp?
It depends on what you're plugging them into. But it only has a 10 ohm impedance, so anything should be able to drive it!
@shadeless do you have any new favorit IEMS now that its allmost been a year and everyone is making IEMS?
There are so many new choices.
I’ve been enjoying the Mangrid Tea 2’s! They are my main for music and gaming.

Im planning on buying the Truthear x crinacle zero blue, after seeing alot of good reviews on them for fps games (I mostly play valorant) and i was wondering what microphone you would recommend to pair with them

And then there’s me using a vocal oriented iem for gaming :
I want to make the big jump to a "big boy IEM" but my only experience is the Moon drop aria snow edition and they fit great, but I feel like mids lack. It so hard to choose even with your amazing video :( what would you do @ShadlessDen
Find the good things that you like in the moondrop Aria, study its tuning graphs, and compare other IEM’s with it. If it lacks the clarity of the mids, find an IEM that has strong highs and lows, but a less muddy mid! You can do ittttt!
@@ShadelessDen thanks brotha!!
@@ShadelessDenhaving strong highs and lows in turn recesses the mids which doesnt solve the issue of mids lacking. increasing bass & treble would make the IEM more v shaped therefore having less treble and bass would increase clarity of mids and lead to a more neutral sound.

I recommend trying these eq setting (use equaliser apo on windows) for your moondrop aria snow edition basically it should sound more natural and balanced with this as it is essentially moondrop blessing 3 tuning with more midbass/lower midrange:

I've been deciding between the crinacle blues or the reds and I'm mainly going to use it for gaming, which one do prefer for a game like valorant?
Blues. But I’d recommend testing both!
I love the ZERO Red! But I am also looking for some ultra budget options. What are your thoughts on the Chu 2? I mostly play Valorant and CS.
So which IEM did you decide is best suited for Tarkov?
Blues, the Moondrop katos, or the blessing 3’s!
Almost done with my Moondrop Blessing 3 review.
Great tip!
Any tips you recommend? I do love my Orchestra Lites but the fishmouth nozzle size and lack of vented shell makes long term wear a bit uncomfortable.
@@__vhagreat question! I want to know too!
Was considering getting the zero red, are they plug and play or do I need hires dac and that stuff? Also do they have good bass?
1. Reds are plug and play.
2. I didn’t need a Dac for mine.
3. Decent bass. I preferred the blues for that.
Blue is better for Gaming as red ?
For my ears, I thought so!
If you want better imaging try IEMs that are neutral/flat tuned. The Aria, Chu II, Zero,ZS10 even the Quarks are good especially in tac shooters.
Great advice. I’ll check those out!
I recently tested the Moondrop Katos. They were very impressive.

Yes! I think they are a couple steps above the blues, but I still preferred my blues.
Is the nozzle on the blue's longer than the one on the red or is that just some kind of optical illusion?
Same size!
was wondering how the Hexa or Dioko would fare in competitive fps
I've heard great things about the Hexa, but not the best for Dioko (mainly due to the fit/comfort). I'd shoot for the Hexa first. But I understanding why you'd want the Dioko! I enjoyed the 7Hz Timeless and was immediately drawn to that planar!

Would you say the crinicle zero blues are better overall than the orchestra lites for gaming in terms of performance and comfort?

I recommend getting a Dac, but yes you can.
