The US is currently fighting a proxy war in Ukraine, seems to me that laptop may have been in Ukraine. I hope it is more likely to be the subject of a legitimate investigation than the World Trade Center was. If the information in that laptop would make Russia look good and the US look bad I doubt it will be the focus of such an investigation.
