I think sikhs don't realise this but Hindus don't consider sikhi as a different faith.
Many sikhs also get offended by this statement bcz they want their different identity, they don't want to be called as a part of the Hindu faith and understandably so but as far as north Indian hindus are concerned, we dont see sikhi as "other religion".
