My father gonna be proud when I finally learn a song he knows lol
If you do, let me know if what managed to make the galloping meter click for you. I can never wrap my head around it.
2:26 I like especially this part of bass in this song. You rule Leo, thanks for the cover!
Your videos are a real blessing, your taste in music is superb. They really made and make me play bass a lot more, which is just great. Thanks for that and pls keep on doing that great work :^) Greetings from germany!
I thumbed up before even watching it, because, how could you not?!
Also, today I learned that I've been noodling this opening riff an octave low my entire life, making it much more challenging :)
Thanks for that! I just tried it an octave down and it's indeed quite something..
Ah, the good ol' three fingers gallop. I knew I wasn't the only one doing it!
God bless The Pick!
Great cover and superb tone brother. Jeep up the good work and up the Irons!
I'd love to see you cover "When the wind blows"! It has been years since I learned and then forgot. It's my favorite piece from Iron Maiden.
I got a cramp in my fingers just by watching 😅… Great job!
Do even seasoned bassists experience pain in their fingers while playing such songs? I tried 'Hallowed be thy name" on my friends bass for 2 minutes and my fingers were paining.
First song I played year ago with my new band. It's sooo fast to play, not easy at all !
For practicing, did you switch to using a pick for this one? Cause I totally would
@@LeoBassCovers2 I never thought of this... I never tried to practice using a pick... I always feel clumsy with one. Maybe it would be good to get better at it, I don't know ^^;
Great cover man. You should try Infinte Dreams the next time you cover Maiden, wonderful song with fun and catchy bass playing.
Thank you a lot for that cover Leo, I've been quietly waiting for it! 😊
I also loved to see that you also can't resist to sway your leg during gallop. 😁
BTW. Do you plan to also cover Fear of The Dark in nearest future?
Best regards, hope you're all good!
Thank you! That must've been quite the wait then.
I'll be honest, Fear of the Dark and Run to the Hills are on top of the list right now. And from there, I'll hopefully have time to focus on other Maiden songs
@@LeoBassCovers2 That's great to hear, I'd be waiting patiently!
Yoooo we're galloping on a hooooorseeeee
I was asked to play this song for a band i play in, the next few weeks of practice are going to be ROUGH
Oof, good luck.. the key is to barely use your strumming fingers in order to save energy, and your mind. Otherwise you're gonna be tired 30 seconds in
@@LeoBassCovers2 honestly most of the song i can do but the intro bit feels borderline impossible, thanks for the advice though!
I've been through a lot of tutorials. Thank you, your rock ! (I really should learn to play the strings like a real bassist tho. I never had lessons so, yay youtube, I'm going for it)
If I had your tutorials earlier in my life I'd be a pro bass player.
Thank you again, it's not too late to enjoy it !
Hey, I've also never had any lessons. So you can definitely do this!
The highest level... YOU GOT IT
.
Fantastic! And great name too btw! How about some more Maiden tabs too please! 🤘
Wonderful! Steve Harris plays the gallops with just two fingers tho :) And I think you should do more Iron Maiden covers :)
well i know the next zong im learnin! 2 minutes to midnight wovld be dope
2 Minutes to Midnight is up! th-cam.com/video/SPW3Q4Iqfko/w-d-xo.html
Steve Harris is one of the greatest bassists ever. Amazing video dude!
lol love how you added your own comment in the beggining... but still im really impressed by your playing!! keep up !
I learned it with two-finger gallop, it is easier for me somehow
Damn, that feels so weird now after getting used to the three-finger gallop
It's not really easier, but it's the right feel, since Harris plays it that way. I'm practicing Trooper and Phantom of the Opera using two finger gallop, it also makes your regular alternate plucking a lot better.
Gracias!!! 🙏
HELL YEAH 🤙🏽🤘🏽
Absolutely nailed the tone. Even without flats (I presume). That Warwick is a tone monster. Great basses!. Nice! Funnily enough I was just starting to learn gallops by way of Fade to Black . I'm trying two fingers. Are you using 3 here?
Thank you! I am using 3 fingers because I find that much easier than 2. I know it's not the Steve Harris way but oh well
My pony fingers crashed at the half of the song 😂... Love this song. Pure energy. Thanks for your video❤
nice 3 finger gallop and not making it a triplet! great work
Yeeeeeeees
Giddy up!
I sent this video to my husband and he covered and played this song
Awesome cover! Do you know how to slap or are any good at it? I'd love to see some primus covers.
Thank you! I have done some covers that were almost entirely slapped, but I can't say that I'm very good at it. Primus is usually wayyy beyond me. but who knows :)
@@LeoBassCovers2 i hear you, but if you ever do get around to them, the toys go winding down would be great since it's one of their simpler ones and sounds epic
The bass players are underestimated.
Всегда терперь не мог этот мэйдэновский звук баса, которым дубинин испортил ночь короче дня
Really good. I would love to See Slipknot vermillion because is such a good Bassline
since I know this on guitar, now I can learn this song on my bass, WITH A PICK! :) (I am not kidding I like playing bass with a pick lol even though I still use my fingers)
hey bro on whatever cover you do next can you do it on the marcus miller bass? i havent seen you play it.
Hey man, believe it or not but this cover was actually recorded with the Marcus Miller bass. It's just that my channel has an 'image' and so I will always use the Warwick or the Fretless for this channel. If you really want to see me playing the Miller Jazz bass, you can watch me play it on my RED BASS channel :)
Thanks dude this tab is realy easy-to-use, please play time for change by Motley crue Thanks for your support.
The triplets are so sick
ta tagada tagada tagada tagada tagada TATATATA
The bass sounds like horseshoes...wow this is my favourite song
アイアンメイデンいいですな
Wrist pain :)
Nice video, I can also play "The Trooper" on bass, I'm a bassist, any chance you could do Dream Theater "Pull me under" tabs on bass.
Thanks! Pull Me Under is very difficult, however. It's on fretless bass which makes it even more difficult..
@@LeoBassCovers2 okay, I thought of pull me under because I like Dream Theater, I'm a very big Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Toto and Metallica fan and more.
@@LeoBassCovers2 to make pull me under less difficult you can play it on a bass with fret, instead of a fretless bass.
Hey, why don't you put the tempo in the tabs
It is has to do with prioritizing really. The tempo icon in this software is quite a bit higher than the rest of the tabs so that would mean that a much bigger part of my bass has to be cut off from the screen. That's why :)
did bro respond to his own comment💀
Ring finger, i'm out :)
man i just cant do the gallop with 3 or 2 fingers
Three fingers...
damn i forgot what an arm pump feels like. Now i don`t feel my right arm
Galloping fingers. Superb
