Biaheza for stop losses, you should place them above resistant lines for shorts and below the support lines for longs. Stocks bounce off their S&R lines; it’s only a problem if it breaks the support/ resistance because that signals that it will keep going in that direction. This advice is useful for stocks too!
One more thing I haven’t heard you considering Ratios risk reward. With good ratios you can take 1:10 trades or at least 1:5... that means one win can cover 10 or 5 losses . That concept is extremely important because you can be profitable even with les wins than losses and that will happen a lot
The single most important lesson when day trading anything (be it Forex, stocks,...) is proper risk management and setting up your risk/reward ratio correctly. What I found out works the best for me is to always risk 1 percent of the accounts capital on a single trade, and to have a risk/reward ratio of 1.5. Meaning, even if I have 50 percent winrate (I lose 50 percent of trades), I am ultimately making money. If I make 100 trades and 50 of them are profitable, that increases the value of the account by 75 percent (50 x 1.5 = 75), and losing the remaining 50 trades reduces the value of the account by 50 percent, leaving me with 25 percent profit, which is extremely good. Sure, it's not a scheme where you're likely to increase your account size tenfold in a week, but it's long term profitable and works. Forex takes experience and time, just as any other investing instrument.

If you want to delve deep into forex I suggest you study in depth the phycology behind price action and how phycology affects the market with things like liquidity. These are things that will help you more in day trading and really help you understand why certain things happen in the markets. Good video either way man!

Yea, it definitely does depend on the trader. If you look at traders like Hunterfx (now hunter infinity as he’s done teaching since his trading had gotten so good that teaching doesn’t pay well enough, according to him) who’s really profitable and has great risk management. Other examples of profitable traders are pajama billionaire, swag C, Inner Circle trader, Chris Lori, Trader Dante. Generally trading for most traders include everything from crypto to stocks to futures to forex. Moreover, good traders are hard to find in forex as it isn’t as notorious in America as other countries, but there are plenty of examples of people being successful. It just a skill that takes time to master, and you need a plan from a good teacher who’s also profitable in order to start your journey. That’s where beginners get tripped up, but I personally know many profitable students in my mentorship group.
It’s also unlike stocks where people just have a scanner that looks for preferential market conditions. Each pair moves differently, so generally the best traders stick to 2 or 3. It’s also not a long term investment type deal like stocks as you aren’t buying equity in a currency, rather leveraging one currency against another. It’s specifically a relatively short term type deal most of the time. It’s a different animal in comparison to stocks.
A smart trader would only risk 1% of their available margin each trade. They’d set their stop loss to accommodate this. Then, if you maintain a 2:1 reward/risk ratio, if you get trades right 6/10 times u r consistently profitable

Yeah the key to forex is understanding that the momentum doesnt break as easily as the stock market does. In forex you have to swim with the whales, being a little fish in a river and trying to swim against the current will burn you out every single time. Forex is purely TA and support and resistance. Confirming the trend before entering a trade is extremely support. Making sure it didnt get rejected before going sell is important because if it breaks resistance it moves 100s of pips very quickly.

I've been trading both on my own and with a forex multilevel "academy" and I'm not gonna lie I'm so torn as to whether or not I'm involved with an ethical organization or not. I think the tools they provide really are game changing and have helped me get consistently profitable in my trading but I'm also just sketched out by how much my "mentors" try to get me to push the business and make me feel like I'm selfish for not projecting this onto my close friends and family. It's a wild industry.

Past prices are not very effective at predicting future price, and every retail trader is competing over the small edges that possibly do exist. It's not fertile ground for generating edge.

Education is key. Especially in the foreign exchange market. It works, it works very good but why people are losing is just because they didn't master a strategy. Took myself 8 months before I got some consistent profit, now 5 months later I'm gaining my tarket every week. It asked me a ton of patient, a ton of lessons, etc.. The right education and just master it. The hardest way to make easy money!
Not daytrading but yes swing trading. 😎 Trading in smaller timeframes is more risky than trading with daily, weekly or monthly candles. Most of people (including myself) start trading doing scalping or daytrading, because we think we will make money faster. But we can lose money faster too. At smaller timeframes there is too much "noise" and price gets more affected by news. When we trade with monthly, weekly and daily candles we can see better the big picture of the game and to take better decisions. 😉👍So my advice would be to not to be too greedy, and to start learning and trading with bigger timeframes. And if we master them, then gradually we can move to lower timeframes. To trade with 1min, 2min, 5min, 15min, 1hr timeframes, is just for experienced traders with very good risk management and very good psychology or cold blood (and with a big account).

With the current increase in the market I see Cryptocurrency as ultimately becoming a reserve currency for banks, playing much the same role as gold did in the early days of banking. Banks could issue digital cash with greater anonymity and lighter weight, more efficient transactions
