Tast they have polar opposite styles. Diablo is more energetic and less of a freestyle with more written signatures and Batalla is usually smooth and calm with non repeated moves.

Diablo has such a UNIQUE style that is so hard to copy! I just wish he could add new moves and sequences to keep things fresh.
He used a lot of new moves here especially in his last round and you can see the influence Stylez C has had on him too!
He could easily be one of the greats but I agree that he uses his old sets wayyyyy too much and too often.

N. B. Totally agree... I’m really hoping that he gets the attention and respect from the mainstream like Les Twins do but he won’t be able to breakthrough if he stays in this comfort zone.
To be fair he’s been dancing for a really really long time so maybe he’s just not that into it anymore

I gotta say..yeah Diablo repeated his moves, the battle was savage.
But the last round when Diablo was smiling and laughing and basically the mask "came off" - that was what i liked the most, the having fun part :)
Diablo would never admit that he lost, but he very well lost every round in my opinion, lol.

I've noticed that when Diablo feels "threatened/intimidated" he starts using his "written" moves, that's kinda sad. Alex - as amazing as ever. Gotta love him, my fav.

I feel like diablo does better with a partner, like stylez c. imo he usually wins battles because of his choreo with his partner, which kind of just masks the fact that by himself his rounds are too short and he uses too many of his signatures back to back to back. if he works on his freestyle skills he would be better in battles, because i know he can be more creative than this.

Diablo has been winning so many battles doing the same moves!!!idk he's one of the best choreographers for sure but in case of hip hop freestyle,, Alex is a lot better than him!
Diablo 100% Freestyle dude. This moov is this basics (sorry for my english) 90% of diablo movements are creation, rehearsals are normal.
Alex with basic hip-hop move uses the same move 2. Zero creation. But it has magical supports that allow it to assemble the bases to infinity.

His style resembles a lot of the flow of hip hop choreographies, but he's not even close to being one of the best choreographers. If it's about being the best hip hop choreographers, most of them are in the U.S. since a lot of hip hop dancers there focuses more on choreography than freestyle.
Europe got the best hip-hop freestylers.

Hahah Osaam suddenly became the best judge. I gotta admit It was surprising from Batalla though. I dig Diablo’s badass vibe but at best I can see him getting the 3rd round and a tie for the extra one.

I absolutely LOVE Diablo's style. He's easily one of my favorites. But just like Les Twins he keeps bringing combos that are up to a decade old. Judges really shouldn't allow people that dance like that to win battles. They're clearly more than capable to be creative. It's just lazy to showcase instead of freestyle.

Alex’s last set was pretty good, but I don’t know what folks are seeing in his previous sets though; no energy; no technical/complexity; just vibin’. It was like watching someone shuffling around w/headphones on and dancing while cleaning their house. That’s cool, but that doesn’t move me and it was boring as hell. Diablo has a catalog of moves he works off from (like every dancer) but he does them well; his musicality is always on-point; and his energy/aggression is always present.
its the way he sits in the music, he follows it and rides it like a surfer, while diablo can look like he's fighting against the music at times, alex waits patiently to strike

@@realtick Diablo will wiff his beatkills and use his energy in ways that might not benefit him. Alex is extremely consistent and grounded when the tracks energy builds so does he. He doesn’t overextend like a Diablo or a rubix or a lil blade. He’s composed and uses his footwork to kill subtly while maintaining his rhythm
@@Max-xd9tc There’s an endless number of ways to battle and dance for that matter. Alex has his way. Diablo has his and I think he’s done alright for himself, lol. As a viewer, I don’t find Alex’s approach really intriguing. It doesn’t mean he’s bad at it. It just doesn’t do anything for me.
@@realtick but objectively he did better and you’re missing the point of his dance. I love and prefer diablos style, but because it’s so wild it’s high risk high reward. His moves hit a lot harder than Alex’s so his ceiling is higher if they land, but if they miss it sucks the energy out and makes him look like a desperate dying animal, while Alex can trip and get back to his dance without too much of an issue. Rubix is my favorite dancer and he has the same issue. It also seems like Diablo is too focused on basslines, samples, and other long drawn out sounds. He uses them for beatkills, but on a break beat where there are none, he can struggle to keep up with the tempo because all his moves are so grand. He starts out with the grand finale and runs out of fireworks to keep the attention. To continue the analogy, Alex starts with the second best fireworks then works his way up to the best throughout the song. His finale isn’t as big as diablos but it was put in the correct place as to keep the audiences anticipation alive. Ultimately it’s all subjective but to compare Alex’s dance to shuffling around the house is sad because he’s doing so much more than that
