EI STARTINUD FINAALIS / DIDN'T START IN FINALS - VLOG 6

Novembri lõpus oli mul esimene võistlus sellel hooajal, see oli MK etapp Stubais, Austrias. Sel ajal oli Austria lukus koroona tõttu ning algselt oli ka võistluse toimumine küsimärgi all. Kuid õnneks sai võistlus toimuda, küll ilma publikuta ja karmide reeglitega. Mäekeskus tehti ka ainult sportlastele lahti, erandkorras. Alguses tundus kõik üpris hästi sujuvat ning mul õnnestus isegi kvalifikatsioon võita 92.50ne punktiga. Mul endal oli selle üle väga hea meel, aga siis tuli finaali hommik ning kõik ei läinud enam plaanipäraselt. Finaali eelsed treeningud lõppesid sellega, et ma otsustasin mitte võistelda :( Mul oli alguses päris kurb olla, aga siis üritasin kõike seda positiivsest küljest vaadata, et õnneks ei juhtunud midagi tõsist ning varsti-varti on tulemas uued võistlused.
In the end of November I had my first competition this season, it was a World Cup in Stubai, Austia. During that time Austria was in lockdown and it was uncertain whether the competition was being held or not. But luckly they managed to make it happen, still without the crowd and with strict rules. The ski resort was closed to public and they got the lifts running only for athlethes. Everything went pretty well in the beginning, I even managed to win the qualifications with 92.50 points. I was really happy about my result, but then it was the finals day and it didn’t go as planned anymore. The warm up before the finals ended with the decision not to start in the finals :( I felt so bad at first, but then I tried to see it from a positive/different side. I was glad that nothing serious happened to me and very soon I’ll have new comp coming up.

Thanks! Happy new year to You as well!! I can imagine how you feel about resorts closed in France, it must really suck. Even for professional athletes it can be hard to find a place to train on snow while some resorts might be closed.

I think this season XGames is the highlight of the year, so I really can’t wait. But it’s a little sad that this year it will be without the big crowd. I guess it’s still going to be fun to ride this amazing course :))
