Leon, this song is a perfect example of 1950's R&B. I imagine the Drifters or Coasters tearing this song up! Can you imagine Ray Charles taking a bite of this song? It doesn't get more rock and roll with this beat!
Never noticed her strap falling down until uou brought it to my attention! How sweer was Elvis to notice her problem and spontaneously take her hand and sit down! Gotta just adore him! Ty
I have watched this a number of times and the attention to detail in uncle in the back with baseball cap on clapping out of beat 😂😂😂 also Elvis found is so funny doing that twist he leans over to hide his laughter
There was an editing problem Helen that I hadn't even noticed. Tommy one of my subscribers noticed and let me know so I fixed it and reuploaded it - happens from time to time althiogh normally I notice in time!! lol!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for sharing this! Such a great remembrance of a movie which was one of my favorites growing up. Such a great little song. His voice is like no other. As far as you know, did he just lip sync for the movie filming, or did he sing along live? I've always wondered that.
Movie songs were always lip synced that's why many songs in the First Take to the Master series have both RCA masters and movie versions in the studio.
It’s hard to imagine while shooting a scene, that Elvis would only lip sync, and not sing at all, if not just for the flow of the scene. I guess they played the recording in the background. What would be different about the master and the movie version recordings? Thanks again for sharing.
@@tlbeman Quite often the difference would be length or arrangement. Can't Help Falling In Love is one example. th-cam.com/video/1RTGD4ZGIaQ/w-d-xo.html
hey! thanks for uploading these recording sessions for various Elvis songs. could you do Gonna Get Back Home somehow? That song is KILLER and deserved to be a single, it’s absolutely frantic with energy.
A great song but falls in the pop/rock category, not Country, Folk or Rhythm and Blues. Not sure what you are thinking of for genre you didn't specify, but the 4/4 rhythm is a rock style. Great sessions

The more time passes by, the more I appreciate the better movie songs…. Like this one.
