What would cause a 430x to block for 5 mins before allowing you to put in the PIN code? We have a mower that keeps “blocking” for 5 minutes when trying to power it on after the winter.
It will block you from entering a PIN for 5 minutes if the wrong PIN is entered too many times in a row. The wrong PIN can be entered by buttons on the keypad sticking and not just entering the wrong number
According to unconfirmed data, if you buy a new keyboard and replace the old one, the PIN code will be dropped. I read this on a site two users had written that it worked.
It’s puzzling that the dealer would crack the box open mess with the start up process (deprive any owner of the experience) and then the buyer has to go back to the dealer for that info?
The dealer is supposed to open the box, Power the mower on, update the software, test all the sensors, then repack everything before releasing it to the customer. BUT the dealer should provide the customer with the PIN code and the dealer would either retrieve the factory set code or create a PIN code to be able to run the diagnostic tests and update the software. I say "create" a PIN code because MOST models do not come with a preset PIN code anymore.
Getting the PIN from them proved to be challenging, but you were right. They had examined the unit, updated the firmware and established a PIN. Thank you!
Please help, everything I searched tells what to do if you LOST the code. I just bought it, it must have the pin code from the factory somewhere... where do you find that?? It drives me nuts, searched everything, don't wanna call nobody.
Depends on what model it is and the serial number of the mower. A lot of the newer mowers do not come with a factory preset PIN code. So on those mowers you just create your own right from the start. But if the dealer activated the mower to test it then they would've set a PIN code so you will need to contact them to retrieve it.

A few days ago the alarm was going off on my automower so went to put the pin come in but it said mower blocked
I hope this works. I got a 115h off an auction, it's brand new but of course has a pin set. Wish me luck.
I just got one off an auction too. Did they help you?

That wont help, tested. Pin is in a main board.
