Clear instructions to Vaati is to camp in Kithookyo until he deliveres the message or at least Janet can rekindle the love he had for Brayo. All hopes of the son from Kaewa is that the daughter of Mbiti has not forgotten their good old days in school. The love letters he wrote to her in blue Aim pen as she replied in black Spedo pen. How she creatively drew heart images on them. He hopes she remembers well their messenger Vickie who did the deliveries to and from.
On this one evening after supper when they met briefly in a corner just for him to admire her beautiful eyes. She softly sang into his ears, "MJ, stay forever with me" . He hopes that she still kept these words. On this fateful evening, how she kissed him on his cheek and before she could say goodnight, the bell rang and she ran back to the dormitory. At that time he wished to follow her but his faithful ancestors warned him that he still had a long way to go on earth. Manthi hopes that Janet can remember the last time they met. Just when schools had closed for the second term, as she carried his blazer on their way home walking slowly side by side. He picked a piece of grass and leaned on a tree and she leaned on his chest with her head bowed, she scribbled words on the ground.
But when the schools opened, kumbe the deputy had spotted them on that closing day. Since her face was on his chest, the mwalimu wa maths didn't recognize her. That made her a victim of the furious DP who descended on her giving several strokes on her head. He hopes Janet will remember how he tried to fight the Masai watchman at the gate as he tried to get back and defend her against the beating. He wasn't favoured on anything that wretched day. 😥
But all in all, he wants to appreciate her for the love she showed him, they are now adults and free from the deputy's punishment but most importantly his cheek is still fresh and ready for her kisses before he grows some beards. • Police|Polisi by Kaewa...
