To be fair, the Percept ability being on Spy works WAY better, for two reasons. One, it means that if you get hit by a PB, you don't lose your bugs every night for the rest of the game. Two, the bug lasts until an evil triggers it, rather than only lasting for one night.
@@piratezsh1433 when Spy is infected with the plague, anyone they visit (like all other visiting roles) will also be plagued, meaning all bugs they placed for the rest of the game would immediately trigger with: *Your target is plagued!*
This was probably done to not confuse new players. A new player might think no crime = inno, therefore another dialogue = guilty, even if there are exceptions.
I think the point of the apoc changes was that they were far too strong. If 4 apoc are in a game, they hardly have to try to beat town and coven. At their current state, they now function like actual neutral roles.
@@dereke1683 Isn't that kind of the point? Since 4 apoc is unimaginably rare, so the game is balanced around 1-2 apoc since that's 99.9% of matches. Just guts the entire faction now that its 1 cap with no buffs lol
I like the new invest! Finding trespassing is basically like being an additional seer, in a sense. And murder finding is obviously very powerful. I think it went to being a top tier TI now
Always said this but I do love this Invest design - yes, you get super powerful information but evils are able to lie in order to obscure the truth and the Investigator has to deduce whether the tresspassing was a townie visiting an evil, or an evil lying and causing a potential mislynch 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Wow, they really gutted apoc with this update. I wonder why, it seemed fine for the most part. I could understand a cap of 2 apoc per game, but only one just ruins the faction.
If a TI claims D1 and will announce who they visited on D2, investigating them N1 could give a friends/enemies result based on their trespassing status. If they're legit.
It's what I was thinking as well, it's a little overpowered night 1. I mean thinking about it, you could chain with the same person over and over until they trespass. Asking the other TI to go down the list.
@FlawlessRuby Well yeah, that's why they're going to get killed and made a priority if they do do that, this doesn't happen in BtoS2, which had this rework for a whole year
So, if I understand correctly: You visited 15 without evidence of trespassing, and 15 claims to be a Psychic who visited 2. That means that either 15 and 2 are the same faction (specifically, townies), or 15 lied. Also, since 1 claimed to also be investigator and saw you trespass, that means you had visited someone not of your faction, and since you only had visited 15 so far, that means at least 1 or 15 was a liar (could be both, of course, though that was not the case in this game).
Pretty sure 15 lied since Bers can't visit N1. Since 15 didn't visit anyone yet, Pipe found him No Crime/Evidence But at least that Bers tried to play and win the game instead of disconnecting himself for being solo Bers
I love how btos role reworks are being added to the base game Like how trickster, instead of killing the attacking target and themselves, they act as a tp who rebounds attacks to anyone
Also at the end it became pretty clear that the UO on 1 on n1 was the Socialite, who put them in their n1 will and later posted it when outing the "cleric" (conjurer) They even said that 7 and 10 were added to guest list that day by visiting 1 - and sure enough, 10 was the one to point out the UO.

I feel like the max on NA should be 2, not 1. It just feels lame to me to have 4 roles that are designed to work together but no longer allow them to do that.
I would definitely be upping 2 on day 1. There were in 2 different seer wills. 4:55 "I faked so conj would conj me" -- I predict this is like a weird executioner wanting TP/LO and 15 is his target maybe? -- 7:25 nvm, 15 is confirmed evil cuz he died to BG.. so idk why 1 was being so strange instead of just posting will.
That sounds like an idea for achievement. "Self Investigation" - Witness your own murder as investigator / Check the murderer trespasser that went on you.
It would be like all those silly tos1 achievements as town where you needed to visit yourself (it could probably have a joke around solving your own murder for it's name with a question mark at the end)
4 coven, 1 werewolf, 1 bers is almost as evil-sided as it's possible to get with the latest update... having only 1 Apoc, at least in All Any, is just ridiculous. There's an entire element of the game, the three-way team fight, that just got eliminated unless you roll double of a NK role, except they're more likely to get each other hanged than present an actual threat.
Can't wait to see a reworked PB game (even if the odds for that are quite low) You can use the info you gain now for some truly big brained fake claims
I think the invest just saying there's been trespassing regardless if it's town or not needs to be implemented, or it appears that it's being implemented that way, because if an invest confirms roles by stating there wasn't trespassing regardless of the town role, then evils have 0 chance of winning since invest can confirm all tp and ts roles without having that person being exposed.
Should've made Apocs have a max of 2 or 3, maybe have a max of 3 but that's rarer, and instead 2 being way more common than 3 games. 4 was way too op, almost a secured win but being only 1 is tough, specially if you get something like PB, also not having def makes them way worse now
why is 1 calling 9 fake? a psychic would be trespassing from n2 on guarenteed. if trespassing stays for the whole game they visit an evil n2 for evil vision no?
No they only visit one person each night so I'm pretty sure you could have a psy on day 4 without trespassing because they only visit 1/3 or those "evils"
Interesting patch! New investigator is kind of like an additional seer, also indirectly nerfs NAs and NKs as there will usually only be one per match meaning they always show as trespassing. That being said, if they have a solid claim they could potentially frame the person they visited.
Trespassing is most powerful N1(1f1)/N2(1f1f1), past that point almost everyone that can visit will probably have visited an opposing faction and show as Trespassing
New invest is more useful, as long as people have accurate wills. However some of the other changes just feel like a step backwards. Jester IMO seems like they will be easily identified as they must send 1-4 messages daily. Executioner is now just TOS one, feels like a step backwards.
How does that make jester easier to identify though? Staying silent is a classic sign of susses, its why jesters just shut up and never talked, the behavior which got Chatterbox added
Invest is now 2nd strongest TI in the game, but at the cost of being more easily faked. Seer is still #1. Spy is also interesting with how PB works now. LO/tracker claims may be PB, LO’s got nerfed on seeing wildling and now visit.
How does this new invest interact with book? Does it frame the book holder as a townie for the purposes of trespassing? Because an interesting scenario would be like: Sheriff visits 6, they're inno. Invest checks sheriff, they're trespassing. = 6 is an easy book holder push.
@@ominousflames14 Solo Baker is really tough. Solo SC is slow but the Reap ability will help them get souls without requiring a Bers to get kills for them and to disrupt games long enough to get a win

3:21 you sure thats how it works now? the way i read the changelog is that NA roles are mutually excluvise, so you cant have 2 wars, 2 deaths, etc. this was probably always like this in the base game but they probably made this comment because of the 4 horseman mode.
"Mutually exclusive" means if one spawns the others can't. That's what the "mutual" in "mutually exclusive" means. It also says "again", as in, it was like this in the past but not at the time. Which is true of solo NA.
If the change was saying that there can only be 1 of that specific role per game they'd use the word unique, as that's what they've used to denote that kind of role. It's even present in the same set of patch notes, with them saying Deputy is no longer unique.

Is it even a nerf? What situation does this make spy results worse? You don't get as much of an early warning of plague spreading but that often just dominated your spy results so its a trade-off. You can't see tav roleblocks anymore but pois doesn't roleblock rn anyways so its only an issue when people fake claim tav. I really don’t like the idea of it on the only one apoc, it feels like you’ll need to basically not play you role to get away with it
Does a townie visiting an evil country as trespassing?
Yes it does
Yes
Invest gaming BOYS
why did they transfer percept to spy, spy is so cheeks now
It is a buffed version of percept since it acts like a trap, but yeah.
Spy won't be able to confirm a player was protected by TP, they'll only know a player survived an attack which is a big deal but otherwise I'm struggling to think of any other situations where spy has less info and not more
@@faceless1434 Spy might not get info from astral visits (since Percept didn't show astrals visits) and you won't see players dousing themselves or Baker/Pest starting with Bread/Plague
@@faceless1434 Poisoner can still RB, they can't poison.
@@Kruggov TRUE. I'm an idiot. I both knew that and decided to think of pois as an evil soc now which messed up my brain
Man reducing Apocalypse to one per game is pretty lame.
Roles like Baker or Soul Collector are now forced into playing really slow.
Hi everyone
Edit: happy birthday 2
This is one of the TOS2 games of all time!
Day 70 of telling lies:
Another great Veteran game, getting brutally murdered by every faction is what you love to see. I’m personally loving how the vet update also gives you the ability to give PTSD to whoever killed you, very cool, very nice.
Uhhhhhh flummery
Quick edits
Aye
Trespassing seems ridiculously powerful. Basically just a better seer. And then they can also find murder? broken
It's only like a seer on N1. If you've visited 3 people over the course of the game and get found as a trespasser, then it only narrows things down slightly. It also can't find roles who don't visit (or people who choose not to visit) as trespassers.
its a little better, if you keep investing the same person, and they visit friendlies
you get to know lots of townies, and one not-town to hang
IMO they have screwed up some of the roles really badly with this update and I hope they fix their mistakes real fast
No mistakes all the roles are fine
Imo the only ones that are objectively worse are Spy and Poisoner, the idea for Poisoner isn't bad, but having a Poisoner that doesn't Poison is stupid
@creeperboom9813 i think whatd make more sense for smog is that itd poison that person and block other ppl from entering although the poison itself might have to be a bit nerfed for that to work
:)
Thank you Pipton for telling us The NEW Investigator is Fun
