I am all for a dedicated traveling rescue team. Carson was very lucky. The SCCA used volunteer corner workers that got training in fire, rescue, and first aid as far back as 40 years ago. The WoO needs to step up to keep everyone safe. Good luck this weekend.
Man that was a dominating performance on Saturday. You could tell your celebration was tempered by Carson wreck. I know all you guys are fierce competitors on the track but a family off. Good luck at Beaver!
Glad you touched on this a little bit more on all fronts. I do agree Outlaws need to have a traveling safety team. Can only learn from this. Carson definitely got lucky. Good luck this season!
Thank you for the update on Carson, looked scary. Couldn't find any other info. So thanks bud. Big Sprint car fan for years, seen some very bad ones over the years, that ranks up there. From Fresno, love Gio but really overall fan, you too, I am subscribed.
Congrats on the win David and crew! Really happy to hear that Carson is doing okay and got out with only minor injuries. Levi is growing up fast. It won't be too long before he starts his racing career.
I'm praying for Carson. It was great to see you run up front for the win Saturday night. Track safety and WoO safety needs to be available for every race. Things happen, and they happen quickly. Levi is growing up so fast, David. Spend all the time you can with him. Time passes by so fast. 😢
I heard Brad in another video talk about how the drivers were trying to help get Carson out but "it was just too hot" at one point. That's bone chilling -- imagine being Carson that whole time. Then in another video, I saw Brad gesturing vehemently when they were all trying to get Carson out. I wonder if he was trying to tell people to get something to cut the belts?
It's gonna be wild when in 10 years from now because of how damn good schatz is here at this joint, that when he can't really win anywhere else on the schedule cuz he has just fallen off, that he will still be winning nationals here however lol
Great video Dg. With racing there's always accidents that we can learn from. Like you said, the fire suppression system needs to be mounted better and inspected on a regular basis. And WoO needs a better safety crew, either UTVs with 2 guys and a water tank and hose. Water, water, water with methanol fires. Ask indycar. I'll see you both nights in Beaver Dam and have a gift for you, not chocolate milk, but better. Good Luck!
Seeing that crash, and it was very scary on what Carson Macedo had to go through. God was def looking out to him that night. Glad he was ok with only minor injuries. As for traveling rescue team, I am def on board with that idea. We def have to use this to make the everything safer so we prepare for a future event.
Firefighter 22 Years of Fire, EMS, and Extracation, as well as standby for Demolition Derbies and Tractor Pulls. Hogansburg handles all Mohawk International Raceway response tho. But they do get an old donated Modified chassis yearly from a race team that has an unusable chassis.
Panic, in my opinion, is the number 1 reason why fires are NOT put out correctly. You see it all the time as they can't get the pin out of the extinguisher or drop it in a fluster. As previously stated, thankfully this was at Knoxville.
My Harley isn't slow lol, and I'd way rather be on a Harley-Davidson then a crotch rocket just me though! I'll be heading to Husets to watch you live for the high bank nationals

Thank God Carson is ok. Also it’s great to see how proud you are to be a Dad. Levi is awesome 👍🏻

Great comments. Safety improvement should not take a tragedy or factor cost.
WOO and local tracks need to review and make this priority.

I wish Doug Wolfgang would've had that kind of response when his career all but ended. Fire is always a huge worry.

Get em kid good luck rest of the year take it to em man

Your awesome buddy, can't wait to see you guys in PA..
Just keep hitting those podiums! I know you wanted last night at Husets but just keep being consistent!
Very impressive Saturday race you were dominant as the dickens. Prayers for your friend.

Can't wait to see this weekend
Congratulations on the win buddy are you running the Wolfgang valve that works off of oil preasur ???? I hope so
Medstar safety needs to be the traveling team.
That fire bottle sure did come in handy…if it wasn’t laying 20 ft behind the car going off in the dirt 🤦🏼♂️
Less than a month buddy$$$$$$$ new track record and a cool milli
Don't come to Coos Bay it you are looking for safety. Crazy. Great videos
Any thought to mounting fire suppression nozzles on the safety four wheelers much like the airport crash trucks use?
I will be at the summer nationals and I will find a way to come meet you

The first in car was brutal. Car was trash, way to recover.
- Use Dry Break System With One End Hard Mounted To The Chassis
See you at Huset's!
If you want to win in Beaver Dam it's high in one and low in two,Kevin Doty proved it 25 years ago, rest his soul !!!
My Harley isn't slow lol, and I'd way rather be on a Harley-Davidson then a crotch rocket just me though! I'll be heading to Husets to watch you live for the high bank nationals
Haha, I think he was annoyed they buzzed his tower when he was trying to film, so he called them slow in retaliation lol
My Harley damn sure isn't slow it's fast as Fuck
Come to Eagleraceway!!
I'm wondering why Noone had belt cutters on them. Could have saved precious seconds just a thought 🤷🤷
Levi admires his daddy
Put fire suppression systems on the car, quit using junk chemical for corner workers, use a good Halon Replacement.
Look 20 ft behind the car after it comes to rest…fire bottle flew off halfway through the flip and went off in the air 🤦🏼♂️
Isn't copious amounts of water the best for alcohol fires? That and foam? Idk just asking.
When's to Cody Jacobs interview?
