Idk why I can’t add a comment so I’ll add it here. This is what ZZZ should have been but oh well. They posted on Facebook about Q&A and address a lot of good things like combat being cheap looking and plan to fix it. I hope this does well because I’m so bored of hoyo games hopefully we can have a fully functional gta type game like this where we can be immersed for years like gta 5 thank you
@@GhostofVaIe I hope so too Having both Mugen, NTE and GTA 6 will keep us entertained for a looping time Strange that you can't post a comment I checked wherever TH-cam was holding your posts back but I see nothing It's probably an error
Great video. Ever since NTE showed up, this question popped up in my head. I agree with the notion that whoever releases first will be the more popular one. I hope that NTE doesn't share the same fate as ToF, unluckily labelled as Genshin Killer which impacted the game's popularity negatively. Kinda sad that Hotta Studio have to go through this twice.
After the new gameplay trailer of Ananta (formerly called Project Mugen), this game is now tied with NTE regardless of their Venn-Diagram comparison to each other (like NTE has bigger advantage for being based on UE5 (hope it's upgrading to 5.3/5.4 soon) but maybe without Nanite and Lumen as an anime game)
@@iammordant this is super real! Because then the other will rush to release their game in hopes of a good response, altho i really hope that isn’t the case. It’d actually be cool to have 2 good games
@@ilzafadilatulhaq1780 Let's not panic yet. Soon we'll get another CBT. With how much the devs seem to be listening to feedback I expect great things to unfold
Project mugen haven't released gameplay footage that shows their UI and controls so we don't really knew, does spider swing avaiable on every place or just in certain points/cinematic missions like wuwa? does the fluidity in animation and combat exchanged by making the world smaller and limited with many loading screens? we can only wait, the last upd from PM is like 1 year ago, i hope they drop something soon.
From the snippets of gameplay we saw of project mugen and also the dev update on it we see different characters using the swinging: MC, Bansy and Taffy so I think it's safe to say that the swinging is a general mechanic
if you watch the trailer, you'll realize that NTE is very chaotic, with no clear direction. It has similar issues to ToF. After watching the NTE trailer, I still don't know what the game's style, design direction, and storyline will be like. On the other hand, after watching the Project Mugen trailer, I can clearly see the game's direction. It's much more appealing and interesting compared to NTE if NTE doesn't find its own direction.
I pointed this out when I replied to someone else. NTE focused more on spectacle in their reveal while Mugen mixed in a bit of the story. Depending on which of the 2 things shown the individual likes, their bias will switch
Project mugen has better animation base on what I see on the trailers. I think NTE has more freedom in when it comes to game play such as buying a house and designing cars but Mugen has better open world movement such as parkour and other ways to explore the city. I might play both but im loving Mugen more bc of this animations, movements and combat that doesn't look like a GTA Genshin impact
Thanks to you tho I found a new game that i'm interested in lol, this is my first time hearing of NTE and to find out its by the same people who made Tower of Fantasy, im definitely hype. I love how unique the characters are on ToF and this honestly just seems like a more polished version of ToF
Haven't heard any news about project mugen for a while now if it just got dropped i might just play NTE, if its still coming out I'd play project mugen over NTE
Depends which one is more predatory with their gacha system i suppose. Both look great. Leaning more towards NTE at the moment if I had to choose right now.
From the glimpse that they showed, Mugen open world doesn't look anywhere near as immersive as NTE. It's like comparing the inferior spiderman open world (Mugen), with the superior GTA open world (NTE). And no, the reason why it's not because of the spiderman grapple they have, it's the camera, the movement, and the graphic, they just look cheap. Whereas NTE, the moment I see it, it really does give me that "damn it really is anime GTA" it's like upgraded version of GTA 5, which is utterly crazy from a free gacha game. It really is triple AAA title gacha game, if that make sense. And the fact that it uses the cutting edge UE 5, from Hotta, the leading dev for research and development in perfect world, the first and only gacha dev that implemented RTX into a gacha game (ToF), honestly... Mugen doesn't stand a shred of a chance.
I think that majorly stems from the fact that we haven't seen actual gameplay from project Mugen It's better we wait till one or the other starts to showcase more stuff to us
At this point in time, may the best urban open world gacha come out first lmao. It's not a matter of which game is better than the other or the similarities. The most important part is who's closer to an actual release, and so far NTE looks much closer to release a game than Mugen.
It doesn't depend on who comes first You can even look genshin and tower of fantasy as an example But from the trailers and gameplay mechanically they seem complete so besides content story writing balances and bug fixes plus additional side content and or changes I doubt there will be much change but NTE's animations are not as lively and well animated as project Mugen The animations for characters and cars seems more polished not to mention the special fx,physics and thematic style, they are simply more polished My only gripe with Mugen would be Netease itself which could bring down the game enough for NTA to get polished meanwhile And the creators of NTE sure improved in many aspects compared to tower of fantasy Clearly the passion is shown in both games just one has more experience and polish while also having a dubious backing
To be fair, every game is similar to some other one. Remember when someone smashed their gaming console at the announcement of Genshin Impact cause it was literally called a breath of the wild knock off. I'm glad we're getting more open world anime games. Genshin really flooded the gates for more games like it. I want a demon slayer game in this type of style
I rewatched the Project Mugen trailer after NTE dropped. 🤔 The animations and design of the environments look better in Project Mugen than NTE. Mugen's combat looks amazing and more unique. I hope NTE doesn't discourage Mugen's devs. But right now, the games are far too similar. Hopefully Mugen's devs are pushing themselves to make the game as unique as possible. Because just having super powers in an urban environment isn't good enough to work by itself anymore. 😅 Hopefully they had some hidden twists and concepts to further separate it from its competitors. And the bigger the differences are, the better their chances of survival will be.
From all the things I've seen so far, and with the new snippet of news that the NTE devs just dropped it's not looking good for making one game or the other unique 🥲 I'm still giving both of them benefit of the doubt though
NTE is made by the same studio that made TOF. If you have played TOF for a long time you will notice the similar vibes when it comes to movement and combat but also the UI. If anything NTE looks more like a refined TOF set in another setting than a brand new gacha. Now is it a bad thing ? no not really. However I will just say, TOF also promised a lot of things before its release and on D day well...we all got some surprise. What I am worried about for this game is the monetization and the powercreep, which are the 2 things that really plague TOF. Pretty much every cosmetic or cosmetic changes was locked behind a paywall (or forced you to spend gems ), same for like 95% of the mounts. For some cosmetics you could get it "for free" if you had the gem but the ratio was abysmal (120 gems or 40 premium currency, something along that ratio). Which is a shame really when customizing your character is part of the "mmo" experience. And then comes powercreep which IMO is one the main reason a lot of people left this game. You always, always have to pull for the new weapon of your element if you wanted to stay relevent or clear new content. TLDR : NTE feels like a TOF 3.0 with a lot of promise, let's hope it wont be plague with garbage monetization and constant powercreep.
I never played ToF past like 2 missions because the game absolutely refused to work for me😂 Since the devs so how much ToF didn't succeed I think that logically they'll be looking to improve their practices So I hope that a lot of what was bad for ToF is changed
This will probably sound weird, it's true Mugen has no real gameplay showcase yet but based on the trailer I think it has more personality and overall it's more interesting and fun looking, the bits of the story we saw seemed pretty rad (giant Dila bit for example) and for me the character designs look better too. @@iammordant project mugens youtube channel doesnt exist anymore, thats the only thing that makes sense. game is just too similar. that red door. that building in the centre with the flower. the cars. the city. even the characters. or it could just be a blatant copy.
@@eaudeparfumman project mugen's TH-cam channel is still up though
Link: youtube.com/@project_mugen
Project Mugen is published by Netease tho.. It's a red flag for me.. I'll still try both later..
Everybody seems to hate Netease😂
I like nte more it’s give me jjk vibes
Does it?

?
Bro are you Nigerian? You sound Nigerian
I am brother
anime gta, now just add grapple hooks lol
Lmao I mean technically we have grappling hooks in Project Mugen
@@iammordant no, I'M saying add the hooks to NTE lol
All i am hearing is two cakes
And both will be eaten well
NTE and Project Mugen are not the same for example in NTE u can drive cars which in Project seems like u cant and also NTE u dont swing from building to building like Mugen so i dont think its that similiar
I talked about this in the video
We don't have enough info on project mugen yet to know if we're unable to get into random cars or not
@@iammordant i dont think so since the main way of transport is spiderman web swinging
@@momokosakurada605 we don't know if swinging is the main way because in the mugen's trailer we see characters riding a car
I think it'll be an option but let's see
@@iammordant its very likely the main way its still faster than riding a car
@@momokosakurada605 you have a fair point actually
project mugen looks dope but remember.. netease..
😂😂😭😭😭
I don't think I've seen one person that even wants to give Netease the benefit of the doubt
It's "Neverness to Everness" not "Neverless to Everless"
My goodness! Thank you so much for the correction
Funny enough I know the correct thing but I didn't realise my mistake took you pointed it out 😭
@@iammordant NP. I only realized because I was checking to make sure this game wasn't Project Mugen renamed. It just seems so similar.
Mugen loooks like they have better chars but Mugen is also prob gone
Naah, Project Mugen definitely is still cooking
We've been seeing job listings so we know they're cooking
neverness to everness, not neverless to everless
Yeah I know
It's a mistake on my end
NTE will be a shit show on launch because of UE5. It's a demanding engine and a lot of people will struggle to run the game especially android users.
The devs said they're working on optimising it for mobile but I'm still cautiously optimistic
it doesn't look as polished as mugen. Sadge that mugen has gone radio silent...
Hopefully Mugen decided to wake up
From what i know, Mugan made the blueprint, and NTE copied it.
Could be that both studios had the idea and happened to release at similar times

Neverness To Everness trailer, July 15 2024
PlayStation announced July 17 2024
The 1st trailer from Project Mugen showcased many future which is what I called Blueprint which was later implemented in neverness to everness. from the time that trailer (project mugen) came out and the recent announcement of neverness to everness is a proof they copied much more they even used A.I to design their character 😂 Even the trailer was weird
@@ReliusClover if you have any counter to what I said please go ahead provide. I couldn't find anything on NTE before July 2024 and yes I know there was a rumor that Tower of Fantasy dev working on another game but no gameplay no nothing other than what Mugen has presented after nearly a year
@@iammordant I would have agreed just not when I have seen most of this games bosses have Wuwa inferno and the tiger from sets in Mt. Firmament movesets and many more copies
More like Nevertheless
Wtf is that thumbnail hahah
What thumbnail?
I have no idea what you're talking about🥲😅
@@iammordant Well that was quick, good thinking you changed the thumbnail. But intro shows it.
@@JayceRustia I know 😭😭😭
