03/28/2024 and still here. This reminds me of end of summer into early fall of '22 so much. I had just started my new job the past couple months and my brothers wedding was coming up. I had the windows open in my office at work just feeling and smelling the warm breeze coming through the window. I remember the leaves changing and I still had this going. Now I come back to this on the occasion, but I'm starting another IT job on April 8th and you know damn well Ill have this playing while I learn my way around the Infrastructure of the job. Thank you for putting out such good music for us to enjoy. This album and Kitsune to Take (Specifically Ode to The Moon) are still some of my favorites and one of the main reasons I got into LoFi in the first place. Love the new stuff too, but this just brings back an era I cant forget.
Sorry for taking so long to reply to this one 💜 I agree with you; I may get "better" at making music but certain songs are forever bound with experiences and certain times of our lives in a way that "quality" itself cannot pair with. My previous job was a great stepping stone but the company looked bleak for advancement so I got my network+ and continued to study in networking. I applied for a bunch of places but no one really wanted to take the leap of faith on the helpdesk person trying to reach the administrator level until I found this job. I applied even though I thought I was underqualified, they called me in for a couple of interviews and I ended up getting the job. They wanted someone who may not have the experience yet, but the attitude and ability to be molded and that’s exactly how I presented myself. 7 months in and we are still growing everyday. So much to learn and potential is being tapped into. I never had much self confidence but sometimes all you need to do is try to put yourself out there and you may end up with the opportunity of a lifetime you may not feel like you deserve at first, but you work hard and you prove your self doubts and imposter syndrome wrong.
Sometimes all the distractions and the frenzy of modern life can make feel overwhelmed and somehow disconnected from our inner, more human part. That's how I imagined the adventure of this modern day samurai. When he gets to the point where the ideas gets foggy, he goes to his own very special onsen to take a break. This time alone with his own thoughts is a moment of creative introspection, where he reflects on what he has done and seeks inspiration for his next moves, so that he could to return to the daily routine with a calmer and more prepared spirit. I just recently heard your music less than a month ago. I was driving around listening to LoFi, really deep in my thoughts when I heard one of your songs. Song after song would play, it wasn't till your song came on that got my attention. I turned on my screen to my phone to check the title. The song that I read was Reborn from Ashes. Unfortunately my mom passed away this past month & at her request she asked to be cremated. It was not long after her passing that I heard the song. Although I was & still am morning her loss, I believe she was giving me many signs that she was there with me & that she was okay & your song Reborn From Ashes was one of those signs.
