@@Theme_parchive I think the version you hear in the ride is the edit. I would think the version on the soundtrack was what they recorded first and then edited that since it didn't 100% lineup

So I went to Disneyland a couple of days ago. They had the Star Wars version of it known as Hyperspace Mountain. Since I wanted to ride it with Space Mountain music, I used my earbuds at the highest volume while this was playing in my pocket. IT ACTUALLY WORKED, I WAS SO HYPED! Eventually yes, there will be .Wav downloads for the mixes in “the space mountain collection” however it won’t be complete until I finish the Dick Dale mix.
During the countdown to liftoff it sounds like there's a very faint second voice that starts counting down from 10 when the first voice starts saying "T-Minus", and finishes just before the first voice says 4, along with the faint sound of a rocket engine. Yeah It’s meant to sound like the launch base computer counting down the time before theyre able to “hit the liftoff button” in the mission control tower. And the “faint rocket engine” is actually just a dramatic impact before the music kicks up to rise the suspense
A couple questions I have; Did you get this straight from the ride itself or a different source? Why doesn’t this have the extended drum solo the track usually has right before the big drop? There’s another version of this audio that’s lower quality but the drums are more punctual and compress the rest of the track. The version that’s been online for a while is an induction recording. Basically someone recorded the speaker close up with a suction cup microphone. Which is why it’s mono.
Also that extended drum part isn’t here because I’m unfortunately missing that file, I had to mix that part with the album release :/. However if I’m able to acquire that one part the download release for this song will sound like a higher res version of what you sent.

Yeah the source version has it much more prominent than the album release. The ending also holds out longer. Disney and their stupid album edits 🙄
