    Loved this day at the horse farm, my personal opinion is it doesn't need to be a coin to be treasure. Thanks so much Jason and the entire team!

    • @QuarterHoarder
      @QuarterHoarder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. Old coins are cool but relics have more of a story to tell.

    • @mikevanetta1261
      @mikevanetta1261 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@QuarterHoarder Exactly. though the actual story may never be known, the imagination wants to fill in the blanks. Like the small key, I bet was for a jewelry box. Perhaps for a younger girl. What treasures did she keep in the box? Maybe something handed down to her from a grandmother or great grandmother, but some special things no doubt. People back then didn't have all the "possessions" we accumulate today. To hold in your hand what she once held in hers beats a coin in my book!

    Many people dont realize the history of horses in NJ! It has long been a place for breeding horses of all types, the importance is illustrated by the fact that there is a horse's head on the state flag. I worked in a bar and grill for a while in Central Jersey and the de facto owner bred trotters. Great vid, as usual!

I really like the Trime coin, we also had in the early years such a dime called a ‘ dubbeltje’, also a very small coin and in the year to 1948 made of silver, not so rare as the Trime but nice and very small, congrats with the trime! These bell’s are very nice also! Great finds! Till next time, I’m a great fan of you all! Missed Lynn! Byebye 😎

    Hey, Dog-tag. That one rosette with the stone in it looked like malachite. A greenish copper ore commonly found in AZ. Highly prized as a decorative stone. I couldn't see the color very clear but it did look greenish and might have had veins of black hematite or dark brown cuprite. Hematite is an iron oxide, cuprite is a copper oxide. Cool find. Y'all had a great hunt. Don't usually comment but thought i'd give you my "theory." Be cool, stay safe, and peace.

    I found a glass fronted rosette the same as the one you found @ 24 mins just a couple of days ago. Mine had remnants of a worn picture inside. It looks like the political ones that were around in the 1800s. Search 'Roosevelt bridle rosette' and you will see some examples with the picture still remaining.
