I was in your game so many times seeing your name in the killfeed practicing this boss. I was routing for you, it too me just as long if not longer to get it.
@3:22 this is an odd variation I can never catch on time. It's the 360 attack, but the sword starts from the back not the front like usual. Is the 180 necessary here to dodge? Does this attach only happen at mid range not close up?
Correct, only midrange will he trigger it, usually "dash range"- kinda hard when theres multiple people in boss room, just have to expect it since everyones in weird ranges. ive had mixed luck surviving it, usually range dependent, but most success has been crouch+lookdown+D strafe If im anticipating a dash, ill do this anyways, itll dodge the dash and the 360 swing so you dont have to do any guesswork
This typically only occurs at mid range, its important to note that this attack literally aims for your head so timing the duck like you would duck a skele crossbow show is important. I found that turning 180 degrees while ducking helped me with the timing of the evade and it puts my head just slightly father away from the tip of the blade. side note: since that attack literally aims for the head If you are to jump before he does the 360 swing the angle will be high as he aims for the head so technically it can also be dodged by jumping early and tucking your head last second, ive done this on accident before :p hope this helps!
Great question! That usually only happens if he starts his jump and you are too close to him, if he is about to do is 3rd sequence move try and keep a little distance just in case he does the jump move as he will then be able to full leap. If he does the jump and you are too close to him you can sometimes fake out the initial direction of his leap and go the other way to avoid it
@@HerbalLeaf i have one of those 12 botton mouse; was going to use that for crouch; i’m like only 24 and my pinky feels old when I use control on rogue, my hands are so smollllll. I thought i was alone
What a great guide
thank you I appreciate you!!! :D
I was in a game where I saw you die to spectral knight ty for your sacrifice to show us how it’s done lol.

First? Dbl jump Ruins has been great.
Guide was helpful. But he attacks really fast. This will take time to get use to.

Sometimes the leap follows me even if I move forward immediately. What do I do then?

What bind do you use for crouch?
Great question! I use thumb mouse button 2 for my crouch input, its the side thumb button on the mouse
