They had a liquid foundation like 10 years ago and it definitely felt oily and thin in the same way that you’re describing. I liked the way it looked, it just did not dry down or set at all and it would lift off onto everything. So that seems like their M.O. with liquid foundation.
omg my blush sometimes stamps like that too when I try to wear powder blush. I think it’s because my sunscreen doesn’t have as elegant of a dry down as a foundation and I don’t wear foundation. I wish there was a foundation-like product that feels light weight, doesn’t offer a lot of coverage, but has a dry down.
Do you wear a chemical or mineral sunscreen? I think the mineral sunscreens typically have a better dry down. I use a LA Roche Posay chemical sunscreen right now because it works like a dewy primer for my foundation. But I used on of the brand's mineral sunscreens in the past and it dried down solidly.
BM always seems to discontinue the products I really like, concealer stick included. I am on my 2nd kiss of pink blonzer- so that says a lot when I've repurchased a blush.
I have dry skin and this is the ONLY foundation I can wear. It took me a few try’s to learn how to use it, but now that I do, I’m in LOVE! I warm it up in my fingers, then apply like it’s a tinted moisturizer. Yes it does take a minute to dry so I do eveything else (eyes, brows, concealer, lips) and then lightly buff my powdered bronzer, blush, and highlighter on the skin. It goes on beautifully! I use a setting spray at the end and my face stays hydrated ALL day! Because this foundation is so hydrating you need to have VERY dry skin (like me) and learn how to use it. It breaks my heart that this foundation has such a bad wrap when it’s truly AMAZING! ❤
That was wild! The melanoma like stamp on the forehead really got me. The cheeks did not look too stampy... but the first forehead sweep definitely was like WOW!
100%… I tried a VB liner but it never sets on me. It will smudge and transfer to no end and I was very disappointed. I want a creamy eyeliner that I can smudge but then SETS. I am hoping the LE are that for me. But waiting to see reviews.
@@KLMO888 MEEE TOOOO! The Sephora Collection 12 Hour Contour Eyeliner is as good as it has gotten for me as a waterline pencil. Honestly have no complaints there, it is just not a smudging eyeliner.
I think the new Blonzer colors may just be a little much for people with fair and light skin since they are so pigmented. Awesome options for medium and deep skin tones, I would think. As I always say, I love RMS Hank Panky. I have light skin, but such a deep color works for me since it applies so sheerly. I have the Blonzer in Kiss of Copper and j have to be so delicate with it even though it is a lighter shade (relative to the new ones)
That’s so interesting, when the new shades launched I saw that some people felt like they didn’t have any blush shades for deep skin tones. I think they could do a better job of marketing to tan and deep skin if that the case, and also add lighter (like maybe a paler pink shade) and deeper shade (perhaps a chocolate brown shade)
@@mollyjane01 that’s good to know that kiss of pink can work for someone with a fair skin tones. I figured it could because Kackie and Hautemess Tom both have blonder shades. But that might also be a matter of preference and personal makeup style.
I finished the video and you mentioning the stick concealer was stuck in my head… If you haven’t tried the Bobby Brown stick concealer, it is wonderful! Probably my fav concealer, but I need her to put out more neutral tone options.
For the Blonzers, I had the same issue with both of these new colors too!!! Both the Mauve and Spice ones do NOT blend. I got both bc I love the original 3 Blonzer shades but these new ones are so hard to blend for me. So idk if the issues you’re having are bc of the foundation… These two are much more difficult to work with for me than the older ones.
I've just started getting neutral or golden foundations a shade too dark and mix in my nyx green colour corrector to get it to somewhat match me - I've never found a good match unless it has basically no coverage 🙃
The “original” thing seems like it was meant to indicate it being a spin-off of the original powder foundation/finish. It probably made sense at the time as a liquid version of that specific powder foundation but I don’t think the current consumer market has enough of a connection to that exact branding for that link to be valuable. I was in Conan’s audience once and his makeup was ORANGE. They went out of their way to adjust his undertones (and maybe make his hair look redder) for TV.
probably not because its supposed to be an extension of the range, kinda like UD Naked range and many don't go that far back. And this is replacing their original liquid foundation with the new serum version
@@anneviscardi ugh the Naked thing kills me because it made sense at the time - their initial customers were entering the work force and wanted neutrals that still felt cool - but you can only make that shift once. Though I think certain critiques are sketchy. Like the purple Naked palette looks great and subtle on dark skin with cool undertones so we don’t need white people moaning about it. But anyway lol.
If you haven't figured it out yet, Kackie- I think the corner of your mouth has some angular cheilitis. I've gotten this several times. It's difficult to heal, because it kind of re-tears open every time you open your mouth a little too wide on that side. It sucks. I'm sorry. You kind of just need to keep it moist and try not to pick at it, and I'm not entirely sure that putting makeup on it constantly is helping. . .
It's almost gone now. It actually helps to stretch it out regularly instead of trying to keep your mouth closed I've found. It's annoying but I just keep the retinol off that area now.
I seem to remember you liked the Barepro performance wear liquid foundation from Bare Minerals. I just think all of their shades lean yellow, even if it says “pink undertones. “
Don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but I have kiss of mauve and it stamps just like that. I was so surprised because I had heard such good things about the original three blonzers! 😢
Hi, I enjoyed your video but I’ve learned with the exception of Complexion Rescue tinted moisturizer, BM liquid foundation is better applied with fingers or brush not a beauty blender. Warming the product between fingers is also recommended. I was hesitant to try the blonzer and highlighting blush but after seeing your video I’ll give it a go. Love your enthusiasm 😃
Are you on Lisa Eldridge’s PR list (idk if she even has one)? Would like your review on the new eyeliners. I bought burnt umber and I’m not happy with it so far, it blended out into nothing and it didn’t retain its warmth, it just kind of looks like a neutral brown. And I have fair skin! Going to try tomorrow with a different brush but I’m very curious if anyone else has this experience.
I’ve never been overwhelmed and really liked any of the bareMinerals foundations either. I found that their powder foundation was really drying and when I got my skin to a point where it wasn’t drying then it didn’t last because my skin with some moisturized that I just didn’t stick I haven’t tried anything else because of that. I am interested in the blushes, though
I always appreciate your honesty and color theory knowledge. I feel like it’s made me look at my skin w/ or w/o makeup in a different way. A healthier way. I have learned how to make not-so-great shade matches work by watching your videos and I am so thankful. Thank you for being fabulous. P.S.- I finally bought the Thrive Causemetics tubing mascara…I. AM. OBSESSED. I had been using the Hourglass one because it was quicker to get from my local Sephora and I love it. The Thrive is perfection (and also less expensive). Tubing mascara has been a lifesaver. Everything else transfers on me, (though I make it okay with the Ami Cole and Tower 28. HA!)😂
I got the kiss of spice recently and loved it the first time I used it, but every time since it’s just looked like I’ve wiped soot all over my face. I can’t figure out how to use it and it’s so frustrating because I love the idea of the product and I love blushes with the warm bronzer look (favorite is toasted cinnamon from Burt’s Bees). So if you can figure this one out, please give an update because I don’t want the purchase to be a waste. 😅
The barepro stick concealer was truly the greatest 🥲 I have not found or heard of anything similar, especially not at the price point (I’m not going to pay $75 to try the Cle De Peau concealer lol)
Loved your video! Personally the Bare Pro Foundation by BM is one of my top 3 foundations. I just emptied an entire bottle in cool beige and immediately repurchased it 😅 Their original foundation did not work for me at all… if this is a new version of it I‘m not going to bother. 😘
Hey kackie when is the finding Ferdinand collab going to ship out? I ordered it and had my card charged well over a month ago now and no word at all about shipping from the brand. I know it was a preorder but never expected it to take months!
BM rarely truly grabs me with their releases for some reason but they have been around a while & I do love their blonzers!! After watching your video, I may have to check out kiss of mauve & one of the highlighters✨!! Even though you weren’t floored by the foundation, I thought it looked decent on you but I’m not a color theorist either! Have a great week, Kackie & all ♥️🎨
I sit to have lunch, my "watch later" starts playing other makeup videos and I am like... "No no no, it's kackie time, she has a new video!!!!" Kackie, if you are listening, lol, I have lots of cream, liquid blushes and I am missing some great powder ones that are flattering to 35 years old skin 😁 do you recommend hourglass?? I've been wanting to try for some time and the holiday palette seems dreamy!
Thanks for testing the foundation Kackie. 😊✌️ Hard no for me. Colors too confusing and formula to frustrating. >> Oh, if you can show ys the other items with a "better" foundation that would be dope. If you can/want/have time. ❤

Do you have any recommendations for things that are a similar shade to the VB bronzer shade you use for your socket hack? I have that same issue but would rather not buy the whole VB bronzer just for that 😅
I don’t know if it’s just me but on my screen, the foundation looks like it matches the rest of your skin perfectly 😂 Videos can be deceptive sometimes because of the way we are viewing it. It doesn’t look too yellow or too dark.
There's a quick zoom when I show you my cheek where you can see a clear line of demarcation. But also (in the most annoying voice possible) I have very sensitive eyes. Folks have posited that I have tetrachromacy so I'm particularly annoyed by differences.
I couldn't see the muddiness until you put it on your forehead. Then I was like, "Oof, looks like melasma" right before you said it yourself. 😂 Beautiful colors though!
This foundation seemed like Kackie’s ultimate nemesis 😆😩😳😳😳🥺😓😓😓 I was like what is it doing to her skin ahhhhh 😢 so odd !! I feel like it doesn’t like to be set ?¿ oily and thin was a perfect description…
"Don't want TWO." Not "don't want to" lol. Just to clarify. Doubles are wasteful.
Multiples would work to prevent the confusion. (Easy to say after the fact, I know)

Yes! That’s fantastic thank you.
I would love to see the blonzers with a better foundation. I think the colors would look great on a great foundation.
