Please don't generalize. I have had some Kannada friends make similar complaints about Tamilians and say Telugus learn Kannada better. It's individual aptitude, ability, interest, opportunity. Let's be happy that there are enough people who learn multiple languages and celebrate both the common aspects of languages as well as some unique features.

Sir telugus and tamilans both learn kannada with same effort only but telugus will pickup reading and writing of kannada letters because 80+% kannada letters and telugu letters are similar . Even kannada person will also learn tamil and telugu with same effort. Kannadiga feels kannada is close to telugu due to heavy sanskrit vocabulary in Kannada and telugu are similar but dravadian vocabulary in kannada is close to tamil. As native kannadiga I can understand more tamil than telugu. But dravadian vocabulary between kannada and telugu only very few similarities I observed when it comes to tamil I find many dravadian words common to my language.

Please don't generalize. I have had some Kannada friends make similar complaints about Tamilians and say Telugus learn Kannada better. It's individual aptitude, ability, interest, opportunity. Let's be happy that there are enough people who learn multiple languages and celebrate both the common aspects of languages as well as some unique features.
@@TheSriGudi how our kannada heroes know tamil and telugu fluently. Sir telugus and tamilans both learn kannada with same effort only but telugus will pickup reading and writing of kannada letters because 80+% kannada letters and telugu letters are similar . Even kannada person will also learn tamil and telugu with same effort. Kannadiga feels kannada is close to telugu due to heavy sanskrit vocabulary in Kannada and telugu are similar but dravadian vocabulary in kannada is close to tamil. As native kannadiga I can understand more tamil than telugu. But dravadian vocabulary between kannada and telugu only very few similarities I observed when it comes to tamil I find many dravadian words common to my language.
